  1. A 2 week hot snap? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1278970/A-long-hot-summer-lies-ahead--say-forecasters-correctly-predicted-years-washout.html Models don't seem to be showing it lasting 2 weeks?
  2. Lol why not? Been 18/19 here today and felt quite pleasant outside in short sleeves, OK not warm enough to sunbathe but fine to be outside in.
  3. After Monday is it looking much more normal British weather next week, i.e cloudy/grey/murky? Still looks dry which is a bonus and probably lose the frosts?
  4. I would take a month of this weather in all honesty all though the mornings are a little chilly but it's a good if the pay off if it means clear sunny days. Doesn't look like much wet stuff about for the at least the next 7+ days.
  5. Well I made a post this morning saying basically what you said about it being dry for the foreseeable and posted a precip accumulation chart and it's disappeared. Are you only allowed to comment if you've been here a long time?
  6. So what is the average/least amount of rainfall for March? Looks very dry almost everywhere for the next 7 days with total precipitaion accumulations being nothing across most of the country, guess that can all change though into the 2nd half of the month?! http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/daten/proficharts/en/2010/03/04/basis00/ukuk/rsum/10031106_0400.gif
  7. Addictive and/or annoying? I've only got into this a couple of months back though I sometimes I wonder if it's better just to stick to watching the BBC forecasts for the next few days where things are reliable as you can't miss what you never had!
  8. Similar day to yesterday both temp wise and weather wise, peaked about 8.3 degrees here, last nights low -2.4. Looks like the blue skys and sunshine to be replaced by some murk tomorrow?
  9. It's still not particularly mild tbf, hard frosts, temps struggling to hit double figures, doesn't look like the blue skies and sun is going to last all week?
  10. Peaked at 8.7 degrees here but must of been warmer in the sunshine, last night was quite a hard frost around -3, tonight looks even harder.
  11. Are you sure? Doesn't seem to be much chance at least not until we head into the weekend anyway.
  12. Don't see how anyone can be disappointed about the weather for the next few days, after a frosty start it's a beautiful day, clear blue skies, just glorious and a welcome relief after last week! Is this the theme for most of the week?
  13. This is Gloucestershire love ramping up any chance of bad weather (I'm sure they must be owned by the Daily Mail?) and always wheel out this "expert". Even I in my novice opinion could see we were unlikely to get much wind/rain here as we were right on the outskirts of it all!
  14. Perhaps I'm in the minority but I think a dry spell is exactly what we need to let the rivers drop, so the models look quite promising in that respect?
  15. I really take looking too far ahead at the radar forecasts for rain/snow with a pinch of salt, especially looking 4 or 5 days ahead. One thing I did notice is quite often around the Bristol channel area going up to Gloucester it can quite often be forecast as a band of white stuff for the region 1-3 days in advance then when it gets to the actual day 9 times out of 10 it the snow risk seems have shifted Northwards into the Midlands and beyond....is this a problem with the models placing it too far south? The general gist with a snow band seems to be about right but not the placement!
  16. Hit 10.8 degrees here, was a nice morning felt warm when the sun was out, showers this afternoon.
  17. I say it may as well be rain when it's like that! We had a couple of hours of snow between about 2-4 this afternoon, quite heavy at times but didn't settle.
