  1. Very lively morning here this norning, had some very heavy r rain move by early and its still raining heavy now!

Anyways yesterday was a cloudy start, then by the afternoon the sun came out and left a lovely day again and still quite warm!

    Hight yesterday: 16.9'c

    Low yesterday: 13.7'c

Current  Temperature now is 13.4'c which is also our current low.

Just as i type this, it really is coming down out there, its almost torrential, and quite windy aswell.

  2. Good morning all, this will be the earliest post ive posted in like ever! Anyways:

It is a mild and clear morning here, some daylight has started to come through, just a little patch bit of cloud but thats all, winds are calm currently from the SSE!

Current Temperature is at 14.3'c which is also our current low since midnight, 0.4'c higher than yesterdays low.

    Yesterdays High: 18.8'c

    Yesterdays low: 13.9'c

    Yesterdays Average: 16.3'c

  3. Morning all

It is a mild/warm morning here, most of the cloud has broken up and the sun is now shining! There is some lower cloud around, but this is all being burned off by the looks of it.

Another very mild night last night, with lots of cloud.

    Current Temperature: 16.8'c

Overnight low: 14.6, 0.1'c lower than previous night.

  4. disagree with this. Warm and sunny weather is always welcome with me, whatever time of year - it's extremely rare in Winter; I remember a day or two in February 2013, before the March cold set in, but the fact I remember it, shows its rarity.

Yesterday was hugely preferable to today in my book.

Having said that, I am missing the crisp and calm Autumn mornings, which can be great for photographs and have been annoyingly scarce so far this season. I also do like proper snow (not sleet or half an inch of disruption) :)

Judging by the charts, some cold, crisp, autumn mornings with frost looks to be on the cards next week, which will also be welcome for sure :D

  5. It keeps going crazy here. In the midst of a very heavy downpour, roads like rivers etc.. 20.7mm now, that's before this latest cloudburst. I knew it would be wet but I didn't quite expect this. :D

I hope you get a station set up soon as I always like to keep an eye on observations on the IoW- they can be quite extreme when it comes to rain and wind. :)

Saying that we have another really heavy burst over us now, love the weather when its like this to be honest, its interesting and active :D though I generally like all weather tbh :)

That latest burst has just put ours upto 13mm.

Definately going to invest in one, I have a cheap old lidl one but that dont work properly. Must admit ive definately missed the IOW for weather when ive in guernsey :L

  6. Yeah, same! 15mm so far th I a morning. I'm watching the totals go up on the IoW using the Netatmo weather map.

Seems like there is another heavy pulse moving in from the west, infact it looks torrential again.

Can wait to get a weather station set up here, im having to use my mates, which he only lives down the road, its all set up on weatherunderground.

Does seem the heaviest of the rain is on the Southern edge of this small band.

11mm of rain has fallen altogether so far.

  7. The bright sunny morning has continued into this Afternoon, fantastic last 2 days, feeling like summer still! Now its still sunny, with not a cloud in the sky!

Another warm one today with a high of 18.8'c

    Current Temperature now at 17.6'c

All change tomorrow by the looks of with, with some heavy showery rain moving in over this way, some strong convective pulses aswell by the looks of it :)

  8. Right then now that I am back on the Isle of Wight, its time to start weather reports again!

So the first day back from Guernsey, and it has a mostly cloudy but mild day, there was some break in the cloud towards mid Afternoon, but this was short lived.

It is now again current mostly cloudy and mild out, with just the one or 2 clear patches, but thats about it!

    Current temperature now is 13.8'c

    Todays high reached 15.8'c

    Todays Low was 12.8'c
