  1. Unbelievable what happened last night for only March! :O From around midnight, lightning started to kick off to our South and SE, wasnt moving our way but moved close enough for us to hear the thunder, classic deep basey elevated distant thunder that makes everything shake.

It had dropped for a bit, so me, my girlfriend and my mate headed back home, but the moment we left we had a shaky deep boom go off, and we were all like realllyy just as we leave haha.

Got home, and noticed the sky lighting up, my mate phoned up saying it was all kicking off again aswell, instead of going out, we both ended up watching it from our houses, as we could both see it really easy. Couldnt believe how much lightning there was it was ranging anywhere between 2-20 seconds for hakf an hour, and was close enough to hear some proper rumbles and crackles of thunder, though was that loud by our area, but it clipped Southern IOW, so we can count it as our storm Posted Image . It honestly felt like a summer lightning display, was great!

  2. As an All round Weather Enthusiast, this has been one of the most interesting and fun winters, but at the tsame time my favourites are Thunderstorms and Snow. As for this has been the worse I have ever seen! We had a bit of sleet mixed with hail the other day but that was it!

However as for Thunder, Lightning and hail this winter has been the best ever! Theres been loads and loads of the stuff, especially.

I have found the winds fun  but Scary, 110mph the other week, not bad going but caused a fair bit of damage.

As for Rain, whilst yeah its been fun, its been horrendous for the rivers and floods, its been the worst I ever seen, just so so much of it, its unreal!

The storm surges well they have been really fun but again scary.

Im crossed between this winter, Ive actually really enjoyed it :L though I would love snow :(

  3. Im happy enough with the Isle of Wight climate and weather conditions and location, i feel we do quite well with the Storms.

But I would love to visit the midwest, due to being an avid storm lover. But then I love the snow also. Somewhere where there is always good snow and  plenty of thunderstorms, is my ideal type of place :)

  4. Hello Neighbor, Put kettle on LOL!!! will only take me ermm all of 5 seconds to get to your front door, not looking good again is it, driving home from work and yet again Morton road closed and several off the roads i travel on have some pretty big puddles, not even sure if will get to work in morning as there is now only one route open to get out of sandown (Yaverland) and even then they may close that off due to it being a seafront road..

    Haha cheeky!

Definatly not looking good for roads especially Morton, I cant see Yaverlant being closed tomorrow, as tonights rain will pass through very quick, infact its nearly passed through, and the winds will ease by midday a little. However Thundery showers looks a very good possibilty and a very high hail risk and funnel risk too i reckon

  5. Here we go again, the island wont take much more, have never seen so many road closures of late, flooding, with high tides and more rain next few days the island may just float away and wave as it passes Guernsey and Jersey.

On a serious note, please take care everyone, and if going out to watch High Tides on coastal fronts please!! be cautious and stay away from the seafronts.

    Hello Neibour :L

Thunder potential looks quite high tomorrow for the island and over the the weekend so keep and eye on that
