  1. Well last night was awesome, I am heading out for Nando's soon, extra hot chicken! There will be a storm later and im not just talking about one outside! ;)Also I dont really think you can blame the Meto, we live in a very unpredictable country, meteorologically speaking.BBC is using the word 'Thunderstorm' in their forecast!! What is going on?I found this and it made me laugh:http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/science-technology/attention-seeking-weather-told-to-grow-up-2014071888720
  2. Another line forming to the south maybe? Also I just noticed the ground is DRYING at this time of night! A lot of ammunition for later guys. We might get a few severe storms tomorrow night!
  3. Time for a few hours of sleep whilst I wait for the next round that is showing up on radar, insane night! So unexpected and so good! Night everyone.EDIT: just checked blizortung and in the whole of the US, Canada and Central America only have 4000 and we have over 3600!! incredible.
  4. It was unbelievable, I saw a bolt of lightning bead out as well. Some really close strikes, the ones that blind you. Its moved north of me but I can still hear it booming away in the distance. âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡
  5. Possibly the best lightning storm in a good 5 or so years around here, even better that it was at night! The shelf cloud was insane here, clearly defined I am wondering if this was severe or not?
  6. I can see faint lightning now to my SW, could this be it? The One? El Brumo....
  7. Anything going to build behind those storms? I am in the mood for a good storm!
  8. Too soon? hahaThe rain is moving in a very weird direction, hardly moving at all.
  9. Is f stop the aperture? I just got a canon 600d off of my sister and I am having fun playing around in manual mode.
  10. Just had quite a large crack of thunder here, wasn't expecting it as it currently looks like the middle of November, dull, grey and rainy.
  11. Been out in the garden today, what a brilliant year for insects here is a quick run down of the ones ive seen in my garden alone in the last few weeks. One of these ichneumon wasps (pure black though) was tapping my fence for larvae. We have loads of these Summer Chafer flying round the cherry tree: We have red and blue damselfly around our pond (one even landed on me!) stunning insects: I have also seen some common darters about too. I have seen a wasp that looks a lot like this Cerceris, not sure if it was but it looked exactly like this: I have also seen a wood boring bee: Pretty decent! I might go hunting under some rocks tomorrow to see if I can find a few centipedes etc. None of the pictures are mine btw I currently do not have a decent camera. Have a great weekend everyone!
  12. It looked good for here earlier but as the rain moved south over south western Hertfordshire it had already died out, not even a droplet of rain.Feeling rather humid tonight, temp of 15.5c with a dew point of 13c!! whoa.
  13. still 17c! its a lovely evening.I didnt do much today, just relaxed by the pond.
  14. Not really, we have got some but distant, its now really raining, I was wondering if the bit that just hit you had thunder in it.
  15. Yeah haha its pretty blue, are you getting thunder at the moment?
  16. looks like im on the chopping block next, can see lightning quite brightly to my NNW, no thunder yet, look west mate.
  17. I am getting quite nervous now, I hope it gets here (if it does) quickly so I can go to bed after, I need to get up early.
  18. is there quite a bit of thunder with that storm? Looks like its heading my way.
  19. Is that stuff near Northampton electrified?
  20. I can definatley see the slightest flickers of blue lightning, I am a little nervous as I am alone. I used to be scared of storms but its gotten better as I got older, just night time storms still make me a little apprehensive.
  21. I am looking in that direction but I have not seen a flash yet.
  22. you should be able to see flashes at that distance, unless you live in a built up area.Come on you beauties, I would love a decent night storm!
  23. I agree, I would move to Germany/Benelux in a heartbeat if I was guaranteed to find a job when I got there. I might move there for the summer next year and get a summer job?
