  1. I think my local thermometer is out as its saying its 22c with a top temp of 24c lol
  2. Saw a big ol queen bumblebee flying about all cumbersomely earlier, it was really nice in the sun but there was a chill in the air still. Its about time we had a bit of nice weather if we can't have snow I will take the warmer temperatures and dry weather! Some places really need it.
  3. Thank you so much guys, I rang up CAB and he said ring them because I probably wont have to pay it and turns out since I am not actually living there I am exempt from paying council tax on the property because the rest of the house occupants are students!I really appreciate the help, I am now feeling light ass a cloud. You would have thought the clouds would be feeling lighter after the amount of rain they have been putting down recently., apparently they had a few thousand metric tons more than a few pounds to shed.
  4. Is there going to be a big blizzard later? I feel like I am stuck in groundhog day, to be fair I probably will step in a huge puddle if I go outside as its been so wet recently!! I have not been very active recently as I have been trying to sort out my work situation and my living situation, Southampton City council are demanding I pay £1000 council tax by tomorrow! Which is fun considering I make less than 10% of that a month because of the 0 hour contract I am on with my work not giving out much work because its getting near the end of their budget term. I am going to ring them up and beg them to give me a full reduction considering I have no money and I don't even live in the same county any more. I am a private candidate which doesn't mean anything if you owe tax apparently!
  5. What a crazy night last night was, probably the strongest winds of winter 13/14! Also that sink hole in Hemel is about 5 minutes walk away from where I work on the industrial estate!
  6. Just had some crazy wind around here woke the whole house up, that was crazy its what i imagine a small tornado sounds like. The house is making some weird and worrying sounds. The front door makes this noise like someone is letting air out of a balloon, its quite humorous actually lol
  7. Evening everyone! just watching that squall go through Florida some nice lightning:http://www.earthcam.com/usa/florida/miamiandthebeaches/?cam=miamibeach2Here its been blustery, just a couple of quite strong gusts and a small amount of rain thankfully!
  8. Here a few photos around Watford: Waterlane and around the Bushey Arches: Bushey Mill lane, North Watford opposite Top Golf:
  9. Evening/Morning?? lolJust watching some Documentaries on Storms and Tornadoes, found this interesting one from 1985 from PBS.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXe2WHZmwfMSome familiar faces in this one!Is it me or do other people think old videos of tornadoes are scarier than their modern counterparts?
  10. You know that something is wrong when places in Georgia, South/North Carolina are getting up to a foot of snow!Considering they have the gulf of Mexico as a huge influence, why cant we muster that sort of snow up?Secondly I have heard more thunder and seen heavier rain this January then I did all off last year! Some places in Mississippi haven't seen snow in over 20 years and they are getting 3/4 inches. Also as I child I dont remember snow up until i was 9/10 years old but plenty of storms are we entering a new phase of weather?PS I hate this current set up it feels like permanent early spring.
  11. as long as the pay off is hot summers and thunderstorms then I am ok with it,
  12. Afternoon all its been a while, check out that squall line!!! pretty sure no thunder or lightning will get down here though. One can dream! What a crazy setup for late jan!!!!
  13. Amazing, that was incredible the heaviest rain I think I've seen since 2012. I was convinced there would be a huge crack of thunder but that was impressive!
  14. There are a lot of variables to be fair, Is there a warm layer above, how much moisture content is present, wind direction. Sound moves slower through cold air so maybe the sound of thunder isn't as spaced out as it would have been if it had been moving faster etc. I have been to many tropical/sub tropical areas, Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Florida, Bahamas etc and I have experienced many storms but I have never experienced thunder as loud as I have in the UK, the ones where it makes your windows and doors vibrate. Not experienced that for a while in the UK though.
  15. http://badc.nerc.ac.uk/data/nimrod/factsheet15.pdfAll the NIMROD radar sites as of 2007.Not sure if all radars in the UK are from the NIMROD system though.
