Really good stuff here guys, keep it coming for those of us suffering withdrawal symptoms
Slim pickings at the moment so may have to make do with some landscape shots but we'll do our best

Hi Guys, I need to bow out too as I'm still having stomach problems and have offiically been banned from alcohol and any food I actually like for the next few weeks

On second thoughts, booking a hotel with on site cocktail lounge may have been a little dangerous, after the sinking of 80+ jager bombs in Denver...
er....did I mention the British style Pub nearby to? Google Maps is a dangerous tool !
-
Be interested to take a look.

Nothing on mine..do you have a screen grab?

Hi All,
I've found out through my FB sources that Tornado Alley : 3D Movie has finally reached Blighty (at least in Birmingham) so don't know if anyone fancies arranging a social/meetup to see this (tickets are are a bargain at £4). The link is below but suspect if we want to make this social then it maybe worth holding off until after the Olympics as there is alot going on around July/August time...let me know your thoughts and I'll look into it further ...or handover to Ian C...lol lol!

"SETUP COULD YIELD MULTIPLE EPISODES OF AT LEAST LOW-END SEVERE POTENTIAL CENTERED OVER THE NRN PLAINS"
Thanks Owen...Paul S was hiding this news from me !

I thought I'd leave it open before commenting as it was beginning to look high pressure dominated, across the USA central & midwestern area.
Which of course would be in keeping with my ability to squash the storms completely
It does begin to look as though some other member powers might be winding up to overpower mine.
QUick look around appears to suggest a cooling trend even down into the 60's in Denver next week after a high in the mid 90's this weekend, with some recovery later.
Wolly jumpers pt 2, Mt Evans here we come
Paul's smiling about the chances of T5 so is a good sign...If not we've found a fantastic bar & grill to drown our sorrows in!
We were getting twitchy Quentin, but it looks like there are some signs of life for us now - there looks to be a huge trough coming through later next week which is a very good sign for an active tour.
Hi Ian ...weather geek speak ? Did you come to this by yourself or did you have some help?
-
That would be me!! :-)
Glad there are plenty of 'Nikon talkers' on this tour as I'm a novice at photography. I've been sat at home all morning waiting for D3100 to be delivered (and still waiting!).
Hi Owen,Sorry I didn't know your name..oops! I have the same camera so happy to help as much as I can ..see you in Denver!!
-
Oh Jeez another Ian..
So that makes my total up to 7 I'm still missing 3 others
Yep...there are 3 Ian's but don't forget Trevor Mitchell and the guy who won the chase competition (sorry I don't know his name.. )
btw..I talk Nikon, coffee and any tequila based beverage (not necessarily in that order!)

The lightning shot shows that all that practice in Arizona last year was worth it ;-) really sharp, perfect timing too
Thanks Ian
Some nice shots there, was watching the downpour on the car camera when I got up this morning, lightning was really active.Thx, the lightning storm was amazing, keeping our fingers crossed for more tonight

There better be some left over for T5 ;-) And Nebraska still works its magic.
Yep..Nebraska continues to disappoint

Hi,
My friend is looking to buy a new camera and would like a decent entry level SLR.
Does anyone have any recommendations. She's currently looking at a Nikon D3100.
Thanks
TJ x
Hey Hun, the Nikon D3100 is a good one to start with but is missing some of the nice features other DSLR's have such as bracketing . The advice I was given is to break it down to 3 or four different makes/models and go to a shop to play around with them to see what you think is easier to handle and use
