hadn't discussed todays storm potential as it wasn't looking amazing can see on the sat there's a bit much in the way of cloud for widespread activity and the CAPE looks best for southern Scotland, interesting on the 2km nmm vorticity associated with that cell (possible funnel clouds etc) and the movement looks like a splitting cell to me I'm assuming that could develop once the cells across NW England move into the borders

Never simple for storm forecasting I’d give it a 50/50 for tomorrow from @Northernlights across to @Ravelin it’s all dependent on a possible convergence zone the 2km nmm not so keen. 27C and higher for quite a few tomorrow disgusting sums up the night temps needing some more runs before attempting to call Thursdays storm chances.

I was focusing on the major rainfall hadn't looked at the tornado chances but you wouldn't sound crazy calling this a bit of an outbreak, -

Hurricane Ida

I'm assuming this will be a result of the remnants of Ida, a pretty significant event in its own right- 270 replies

No it doesn't always go through the phases in numerical order, looking through the data for an example, back in June it went 7,2,1,2- 1,801 replies
