  1. Dry so far this morning, after last nights deluge. Cloudy and gloomy now....
  2. The rain has finally stop here about an hour ago. Don't think it will be a close / humid night here tonight. With all this rain, the gnats etc are coming out in their millions :-)
  3. Rain falling a lot lighter now. We also have some minor flooding around some of the smaller roads.
  4. Light sporadic rain here today. Feels pretty cool outside. Infact if I didn't know better I would say it was mid October, not mid July
  5. Morning all. Damp and grey start to the day. Just has a heavy shower, but looks to be brightening up slightly now
  6. Another stunning day here. Shame it won't last for the weekend. We have our children's annual summer fate tomorrow, with inflatables, BBQ, stalls etc.... Would be a mighty shame if it was cancelled due to poor weather. On the upside we have had an offer on a house we want to buy excepted :-D
  7. very light rain here. Just feels warm and miserable outside now. Bang go my outdoor plans for the rest of the day.
  8. Cloud now thickening and breeze picking up now. Maybe indoor eating now )-:
  9. No rain here at all today. Patchy blue skies, and feels pretty warm in the sun. Might have to dinner alfresco style tonight...
  10. Not been to bad really today. Had some moderate showers later in the afternoon, but other than that nothing else. Greatful it stayed mainly dry as we went to Bodiam Castle for the day. Great place, and would recommend a visit. Here are a few pics.
  11. Evening all. Poor start to the day here again. But inform the summer weather kicked in after lunch, and it's been another cracking day. Here are a few pics from my boat trip along the Thames yesterday.
  12. Evening all... Pretty poor weather weekend just gone, when comparing to the glorious working weeks weather. Saturday was cloudy and cooler of late, and that was the day we promised the children a trip to Deal in Kent to do a spot of fishing off the pier there. Was pretty gloomy all day but atleast we caught a few makeral and dogfish which brighten the mood. Around 4pm the cloud started break so we had some fish and chips on the front which ended up really nice in the sun in the end. On Sunday we planned a nice day out hoping it would be sunny, but it stayed cloudy and cool all day. So we opted with a chilled out Father's Day then a nice trip to TGIs for my Father's Day dinner. Today has been pretty much the same as yesterday. Tomorrow's forecast is looking good though, which is good as I have a business meeting planned on a boat next to HMS Belfast on the Thames. We are due to start sailing around 9.30 to 4pm up and down the Thames. I will hopefully have time to get some pictures, and if they are any good I will post here tomorrow. ATB
  13. Still have clear blue skies here. The sun is still doing its magic and it still feels very warm.
  14. Well I'm hoping for a lucky Friday 13th. Just bought the winning Euro Lottery Ticket ha haRoasting start to the day here. Luckily for me I took today off work. So took the boys to school as normal (but less rushed) done some knowledge work, now sitting outside with a cheeky pimms enjoying with stunning weather. But as I speak it's starting to cloud over. Still very warm though.
  15. Oi Jax.... Do you have a problem with my post haha....Still cloudy here and less sticky....
  16. Well here it is. My 1000th post on Netweather. I'm not going to talk about the weather as such, but what a brilliant weather forum. I was fortunate enough to be a member during the classic late November and December 2010 bitter start to winter. I was also here for the February 2009 Thames streamer which dumped shed loads of snow on my location. But weather aside I've met a many a great cyber friends on here. We all share snippets of our lives, good and bad which is all bought together by our common love of the English weather. I've also learnt a hell of a lot by reading and studying some of the more if you like knowledgeable posters on here. But what has kept me posting and enjoying this great website is the this great SE thread. Thanks Paul and the rest of the Netweather team for creating such a great weather website.
  17. Beautiful start to the day here when I left home at 6am. Started clouding over now and feels very warm and muggy.
  18. Crystal clear skies here still. It just has a dark blue tinge to it as the sun sets in the far west. Breeze has now dropped, and I have a funny feeling tonight's sleep will be pretty uncomfortable. Think I may invest in a bedroom fan tomorrow.
  19. Evening BB. Great to hear you are finally well enough to get out and about, and especially to one of the places you speak so fondly about. Have a great holiday mate.
