  1. Ive been keep all my doors and windows open for the past 2 nights to cool everything down, and curtains and windows shut all day. 27c outside currently and 21c in the living room.
  2. Very breezy here with hight cloud currently, just finished cutting the hedge and doing a few other bits and bobs befor the sun breaks through then I'm retiring to the coolness of the living room with the dogs for the afternoon with my feet up. Temp 26c
  3. You don't won't them open during the day anyway especially over the next 3 days...as it will let the hot air in, keep them closed and the curtains. Just windows and doors curtains open at night. I've been doing this the past few nights to cool all the internal house walls down as much as possible to prepare I'm lucky as the nearest main road is 5 miles away and only have to worry about foxes or other vermin getting in. But my 2 Boarders will let me know..
  4. Yep same here apart from a high 26c on the Davis and high cloud rolling In a little later.. all windows and doors open once again all night in my house to keep things as cool as poss in the day.
  5. Fantastic snowidea.. Must of been wonderful watching the sea wrapped up in the sleeping bag. My favourite place on earth up there.. Take it easy heading South it won't be as comfortable as 'up there' Still the best thread on Netweather... Love Borders, Have 2 myself
  6. Yep that's why there is a once in a lifetime red meto warning out covering a wide area for extreme heat..
  7. Folk need to realise that given the models, And more importantly the once in an ever Meto Red Warning for extreme heat.. Temps everywhere in mainland England will be in the 35'c to around 40c range Monday/Tuesday. Looking at every run and model showing a degree or two one way or another isn't going to change that especially at this range. Even if a gun is pointing at your head...
  8. Yes agree re next few days.. I've slept and had windows/doors open to cool the house as much as possible over the past few days and will do so over the next few. I will also close the blinds and curtains during the hottest days Mon/Tue.
  9. Nothing here yet other than all windows and doors open to keep the house as cold as possible and some foxes calling in the distance. Tea is on.. will be up midnight latest in lean-to with the dogs anyway just incase
  10. I'm still up here making the old house as cool as poss.. given the up-coming temps. Front and back door open all night like the last few, and all windows (thinking ahead.. Anyway will be up till 1ish with the dogs, I'll report if anything crops up on the distant horizon but will probably be in the early hours when I'm asleep..

  14. Many many posts are more suited to the summer thread and not discussing what the models are actually showing but everything else around that... These posts belong in the summer thread. I'm not saying it's not good discussion, But let's please use the relevant threads that are open for this.. Very interesting times ahead
