  1. Lovely squall line there.. can see lighting in the distance. About to eaty steak then a cuppa before bed..
  2. Just woke up as fell asleep.. Radar is looking good with a heavy squall line moving N/E (a few gaps here and there..) Lightning a plenty over the channel, Fingers and toes crossed. Even the rain would be exiting..
  3. Thunder here just above me, moderate rain starting.. quite a potent cell moving over, temp has dropped a few c already.
  4. Lovely moderate sometimes heavy rain here for past 30 min, even been out wiping the dusty windows down on the bungalow in it with a free rinse..
  5. Looks like Pits famous storm shield has been turned off.. Waiting for the rain to arrive here. A few spots in the air now..
  6. Dropping here already, Lights on in kitchen to cook tea..
  7. Lovely moonrise here tonight, all windows and curtains shut again during the day and everything open during the night makes a big difference in temps In the house. Roll on Autumn and winter..
  8. Dug all my King Edward's up today a total of 72 kg from the veg patch. No point keeping them In any longer what with such dry weather on the horizon... Will make place for 20 odd January King cabbages in pots I've grown on for the winter.
  9. Moths seem to be in an abundance here this year (I live very rural) as well as flies. I Iike to keep the doors open for the borders to run in and out day long but this year it's terrible. I've also sheep and cows all round my property which won't help. But it's one of the worst years.. And spiders everywhere which I have to clear every few days.. They realy would take over the house if I didn't take action.
  10. Just heard Travis and Stereophonics playing at the Y Not Festival while out with dogs, walked 6 miles on the lanes and back.. Hardly any wind and the sound must be traveling miles. Fireworks after Stereophonics was superb..
  11. Yes the same round here to reg the stress on birch and beech. The hot dry wind has certainly effected this one in the plantation.
  12. Yes agree Rob, No idea why.. Years past we would see some late evening as you say.
  13. Same here with cloud all day, but it's pleasent with little or no wind at all to speak of which is rare especially for my location.
  14. Looks like there was quite a show in the far North last night..
  15. Well it's 'y not' festival time here. No escaping it Least they have good weather for it.. Seems to get bigger every year, I can remember being there when it was just a few locals in a field with a handful of tents and local bands and DJs. All saying 'why not let's do it.. How it's grown..
  16. I would of thought the onset memory of guaranteed cold weather maybe.
  17. Some very welcome light rain here for the last 2/3 hours or so and continues. Fields realy greening up now from the heat of last week. The smoke is London Dancer The saying comes from the industrial revolution when London was very very smokey..
  18. I'm just stating that the METO obviously have no bias on this subject. Sorry for any misunderstanding
  19. Sure the METO are covereing every single anomaly. And employ absolutes in any seperate field (to the highest of standards) to do so, With no bias. All these considered they only show one thing... The fact your 'friend is working on this one anomaly shows how thorough the METO are to deploy any final analysis without the bias one way or another.
  20. Eased here to drizzle now, Today's rain has certainly greened the fields up a little. 13mm today.. was in the garden pottering this morning and dug up a few King Edward's for my lunch, a few weeks to go yet but tasted wonderful.
