  1. Exactly Dev, I agree.. I do think some people though (only a few), are so stubborn to except science, that all they have left is conspiracy's, or twist and attack.
  2. Not heard thunder like this years ! Lot's of Ash'es round here
  3. lot's of thunder in the near distance, i just missed that one but got some good heavy showers out of it, Alfreton must be in the thick of it now.. Yes AJ, Ashbourne was black !
  4. Heavy showers and skys darkening to my S/W with thunder in the distance.
  5. Heavy shower and dark clouds to my S/W, with rumbles in the distance just now..
  6. Aye Frosty., it's looking like next week should be the last of the mild/v mild weather that we have had to endure over the past few weeks, to a much more seasonal pattern for Autumn, Which is what the models have been hinting for a number of days now, and with growing support.
  7. I thought you let the missus do the house work so she keep't warm ?
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCsmvxkwzjw
  9. I have removed it myself 4 as wrong thread, but calling it propaganda rubbish is beyond me. Where on Earth do you get your information and stats from ? And anything can be posted in this thread, whether it's regarding a specific point raised or not, as long as it's on topic ok.
  10. Madman has spoken out regarding the METO response.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGQWY8_RJ-w
  11. A mild cloudy night with blustery winds and the odd light shower, an overnight low of 10.5c. Currently; Mild and cloudy with the odd clear patch. Temp 11c Wind South 12 mph Gusting 26mph at 7.54am Rain since midnight 0.8mm
  12. A lovely Yellow/Orange tint to the sky now here with the low sun and passing showers, a max temp of 15.4c, South 12mph Rain since Midnight 4mm
  13. Yes Frosty., Solar activity has been very low throughout this Solar Cycle 24, taken in isolation the 2nd peak of this predicted max starting to show now, how strong and how long this 2nd peak will last is unknown. But this coming activity should have no bearing on our weather when taking into consideration the lag effect, with such a quiet sun over the past few year's during this Solar max it's this that will have an effect on our weather this winter, much like the past 4/5 years.
  14. Fingers crossed bigsnow, good to see you back ready for the winter months Another Spring like last March would do me even if i had to wait all winter !
  15. GREEN COMET, RED PLANET: Comet ISON, which will fly through the atmosphere of the sun on Nov. 28th, is now flying past the planet Mars. The green comet and the Red Planet are just 1o apart in the eastern sky before dawn. Parks Squyres photographed the odd couple from his private observatory in SaddleBrooke, Arizona, on Oct. 16th: Mars is almost as bright as a 1st-magnitude star, easy to find in the constellation Leo near the blue star Regulus. The comet, on the other hand, is invisible to the unaided eye. Mid-sized backyard telescopes are required to see it. http://www.spaceweather.com/
  16. A mainly dry and cloudy night with just the odd spot of rain, with Fog forming and light winds, An overnight low of 7.7c. Currently; Dry with Fog. Temp 9.3c Wind 3mph E/S/E Rain since midnight 0.2mm
  17. Each to our own, I enjoy long dark stormy nights, especially if snow is involved !
  18. Yes the jet stream is smack bang over the UK for the next week or so, on a personal note some very interesting weather coming up. It's about time we had some stormy weather and severe gales ! I just hope it doesn't blow my SPECKs off...
  19. Solar Activity continues to grow and continues look like the start of the predicted 2nd Peak in Solar Cycle 24, with lot's of C class flares & minor M flares one of which was only a few hours ago from sunspot 1861 producing an M1.2 flare off the West limb, so any CME from this should escape Earth. We could be about to see some big flares over the coming days, with an extremely active region of spot's coming over the Eastern limb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2po2WNse-Vs
