  11. NetWx shows the cold winning out, The fronts never really cross the UK. Here's next Wednesdays midday charts.
  12. Quite a lengthy heavy snow shower blowing through here just now. Temp -1c Wind chill -5c
  13. The NetWx mr Model is certainly showing the colder air winning out as the front coming in off the Atlantic during the weekend only makes it to Ireland then shifts North and fizzles out clearing the way for High Pressure to push North behind, The weekend looks to have some of the coldest temps of this cold spell so far with a bitting S/Ely wind chill. Yes Tim, The GFS is very good at finding long range patterns and near always the other models eventually follow suite bringing in the detail and by detail I mean a shift West or East 200ml of the High pushing North makes a massive difference to what we get at the surface..
  14. A beautiful winter's day here with mostly clear blue skys and the odd light snow flury, Around 2 inch of lying snow but the wind yesterday and into the evening picked up some of it with drifting in places around 3ft. Much lighter winds now. Temp -3c Wind chill -6c
  15. Battleground snowfall into the weekend with some big totals in places if the UKV extended is correct, To early for me to call whether the warmer air will win out atm, But for now the cold air is firmly on place..
