  1. The Radar prediction won't pick up new snow showers growing and coming in off the North Sea, it will only predict the movement of those already over us.
  2. Around an inch snow cover here, with very light snow showers blowing in a near gale force Easterly. Just got back with the dogs from Long Dale and thawing out in a hot bath.. -7 wind chill and temp sat on 0c so far today. Will be keeping an eye on the radar for snow showers this evening.
  3. Moderate rain here which is v slowly turning sleety and hopefully to snow by late afternoon/evening. Temp has dropped from 5c to 2.8c in the last hour.
  4. Folk need to stop over analysing snow charts it's far far to early to be giving them any credit whatever at this range. In these set-ups snow probabilitys can change in just a few hours given the very unstable Easterly flow incoming...
  5. I'm pretty sure that's what he means.. With these sorts of Easterlys being model's.
  6. It would prolong the cold spell, And would make it far more severe.. Yes it certainly a possibility.
  7. Just model output discussion please, Busy times... So don't post off topic as they will go missing to keep the thread tidy and informative. Thanks
  8. Latest UKV extended for Monday. The wind chill will make it feel even colder.. Edit- Hadn't noticed Paul had already posted them.
  9. Right, It's very busy obviously.. So let's please keep on topic or posts have and will magically disappear to keep the thread informative and running smoothly.. As requested at the start of the thread. And please don't quote a post just to say thanks, that's what the like button is for. Thanks all.
  10. Light snow with moderate bursts continue here, with a brisk Easterly wind, Only a very thin covering so far. Temp 1c Dp 0c Wind chill -6c
  11. Some fantastic charts this morning from a cold perspective, interesting times ahead.. As for Saturday's snow event here's NetWx & UKV with the snows lines most Northern extent.
  12. Yes it looks like the warning area has pushes further North, which makes sense looking at the radar. I'm now down for snow all afternoon.... We shall see.
  13. I didn't think it was going to move as far North, Looks like I could see snow here very soon. Temp -4 here with full snow cover from yesterday.
  14. Winter wonderland here with around 2" still snowing lightly.
