  1. Thought I was reading the shipping forecast then Nick. The Models certainly suggesting a more stubborn Russian High over the past few runs, Lots of uncertainty atm which makes for interesting viewing over the next few days.
  2. Very heavy 50p jobs here for past hour, temp 1c
  3. White over here, moderate snow continues. Temp 0c
  4. Shopping at Aldi in Buxton, current heavy snow here.
  5. Can see the snow coming now from the East down over Rowsley Bar, should arrive here in next few minutes
  6. Temp here currently 1.6c and Dp 1c, Hopefully will see some more snow in the next hour as the rainband hits the Peak District... We shall see.
  7. Some folk need to understand that this thread is to discuss the model outputs that be 6hr out or 2 weeks. Also if folk are looking for there 1st snowflake of the season using said models that's absolutely fine even if there are no METO warnings out for said areas. Last but not least, Some people get excited some don't, That's fine but just let it be.. I've always found marginal snow events a little exiting, But I wouldn't expect everyone to be just because I am and visa/versa..
  8. Moderate wet snow here now after an afternoon of rain/sleet. Temp currently 1c
  9. Moderate wet snow here, nothing settling as yet.
  10. Thursday/Friday could see the first snow here at my location. We shall see..
  11. Yes M4.4 currently the strongest of the new cycle thus far, As you say won't be geoeffective as directed away from Earth but the Sun is certainly starting to wake up now.
  12. So it's fair to say, as the models have been showing for the past few days at least.. were heading into a cooler sometimes colder/unsettled period of weather from the N/W with some snow over high ground especially further North where snow/sleet could fall to lower levels at times. With temps over-all around avg/sometimes a little below. A seasonal avg start to Winter on the cards..
  13. The way to do it.. https://www.facebook.com/spudthepiper/videos/1323863084645203/
  14. Yes Tim B, The Models certainly showing very avg/normal weather for late Autumn as we head into Winter with cool sometimes cold PM shots from the N/W with some milder air being drawn up as systems pass.
  15. Agree there Crew, Signals certainly suggest sharp PM flows and transient Northerly's. Which is a good start.
  16. http://geographical.co.uk/uk/uk/item/3878-scotland-s-snow-hunters-tracking-the-last-remaining-patches
