just the best day of cold spell here in Paris : This morning coldest morning for all areas of Greater Paris -10c just right on for my location. Some locations way more cold ( several -15c were recorded where snow is on ground) A cold and beautiful perfect blue sky day .Wind increasing by midafternoon making it feel so cold with top temp at -2c and wind fairly strong up to now. -5c at 1900 hours Now cloudy with snow flurries and -7.1c with a vigorous Northeasterly wind.Max temp tomorrow -4 to -5c max!!! Just wanted to share with you a satellite pic where you can see that on sunday morning the snow just stopped at the gates of Paris and did not go further.

Hello to all : been another cold day for my part.On to the 8th straight day not reaching 0c which is getting really good. Top temp today for Orly airport -8.9c but got -10c for my part!!! In the Paris greater area some vey impressive temps where snow is on grounds several -15c were recorded Top temp of the day -2c!!! now -5.5c already at 1900 hours and new thing wind is back nearing -15c windchill!!! Pressure 1036 hPa RH : 35%

Meanwhile For us in France and for my area , it is the 8th straight day below 0c and this morning temps took a plunge Here are temps around 930 am local : some temps were already on the rise

Coldest night for all the greater Paris area and i went below -10c ( just -10.1c !!!) for my location all without snow!!!!. Places with snow went to deep lows : Theses are 0600 hours utc temps.Some lows may even be lower as 06h00 hours utc the sun was not out yet. Tonight another cold night forecasted.

Was the mildest February day so far for Paris with a warm 0.1c !!!!!!!!!! But not to worry only Paris and its very urban center did a a no freeze day. All suburbs remained below zero and making it the 7th straight day of freezing temps during day!!!! Tomorrow it is back in the freezer for daytime temps as no more than -3c to-5c.Of course during night freezer is on in full powe for 8 straight nights !!!!average for nights -7.3c for my part.

Evening all : Well agreed February makes it up and it is slowly making History so far. Up to the 6th and it is not much worth , the mean temp for Paris is -3.6c which is about -9.-5c below average 1971- 2000 average.Many stations in Eastern France are well under -10c anomaly!!!

Point here on all grater Paris area : some low clouds coming fro the north have invaded the region just around 2230 hours when temps were from -4.5c in the very center of Paris to -11c in parts where snow is lying , -6.9c for my part. Temps are just not moving anymore and not rising either.Would the sky have stayed clear , i think we would have been in for a cold one. Nice pocket of near -14c to the immidiate south to south west ( a good hit by snow area!!!) about 60 south of greater Paris.

Ps : -3c being the max from 1630 to 1645 and since 1700 to 1900 hours lost 2.5c!!! @ 1900 -5.5c still a free fall!!!!clear skies!!!!

A brief point here , The max today was -3c at 1630 now -4.5c at 1830hours local, and falling quite good.I did not get much snow but been to west ( barely 15 miles from me)and they got 8cm of snow. The sky is mainly clear and where snow is good temps are falling like from a cliff!!! nearing -6cto -7c in Western suburbs of Paris at 1830!!!!! Temps forecasted this week have been put a little furhter down and for my area could make it around -8c to -9c ( night lows) till Saturday Here is a pic in a park 15 miles from where i am ( got not much for my area) All small lakes in Parks are frozen!!! exept where ducks are going.

Did not yet see models and am new to it but no temp above -1c ( if unlucky) forecasted till Friday at least!!!!!!nights stays very cold of course no temps above -5c ( some areas closer to -10 most of week) exept Friday when we could have -4 c but only central Paris not suburbs!!!

Never seen a France so colored : All west snow , all East extreme cold!!!!some both!!!!!!

Situation at 0822 local time in France : My suburb is Where you see the snow flakes near the -7c temp!!!!!

Snowing now nearing 2cms probably 1 or 2 more and it is over First time i have it snowing here with such a cold temp currently at -6c and temp does not move at all!!!!! This morning France is land of contrast Brittany and Brest nearing 9c and all eastern parts of France with the warmest at -11C !!! all that at 0930!!!!!!

Snowing here in my suburb ,a good cm or 2 is now lying , very slippery!!!!!! Météo-France forecasted it well : Westerb suburbs really getting almost 10cm , for my part would say 3cm max ( am directly 10 miles south south east of Paris ) but eastern suburbs getting nothing .Seems it is just stopped by the cold!!! Still a -6c here so no need to tell you snow stays well Coldest day forecasted today as max should not go above -4c here!!!!and -8c to -10c tomorrow night!!! Snow has a good chance to remain on ground up to Friday.

A quick report for Orly near Paris to sum up very cold and a sunny day with a pure blue sky. Min : -7.5c at 0900 am Max :-2c for a very brief 3mins at 1330 pm Pressure 1034 hPa It is to note that we did not go above zero since the 31st january at 1000pm and we may be in for another week without going above zero !!!Which is getting really incredible!!!

Tomorrow the Paris greater area will literaly be cut in half really !!!! Western suburbs up to 7cm of snow and eastern suburbs nothing!!!!!!Paris in middle could see 5cm all snow holding for a few days as no temps above zero forecasted!!

Here is the night temps of this morning you can see the -20.1c of Mulhouse and the -19.6c of Reims Météo-France warns that all places with snow or who are going to get snow may see temps really plunging sunday and especially the following nights to very deep.

here you go , you can see the great divide with west of uk and Brittany and east!!!!Not much snow remaining in the west of uk then ??????????????

2 places have reached -20c in France it is Reims ok -19.7c and Mulhouse -20c Mulhouse record low all time for February is at - 22.7c Both had some snow followed by a clear night . Now in my suburbs it is the coldest so early in the evening at nearly -8c!!! December 2010 did not see such low temps.

Nothing for Paris area today exept cold and a very blue sky but tomorrow midmorning we are at the extreme limit of some decent snow ( up to 5cm locally ) Météo-France says it is a matter of a few miles!!!east you get nothnig but cold ,west you may get 2 to 5cm; Also where it snows sunday night and next few nights temps could plunge deep !!!!!
