Some really impressive values this morning for the Northeast France In Mulhouse -20c and the record for a low in February is -22.8c in February 1956 ( coldest month in the 20th century for France) In Reims also -20c at 0630 am for a few mins with snow lying on the ground. Yesterday for my part we had a bit of snow but not much just traces here and there but suburbs way more Northeast had a bit more , then sky clearing fast so that explains some temps not far from Paris which are nearing -13c For my part got a -8c. A fairly wide spread area of -10c to -12c about 20 miles from my area ( east from me)

snowing now in Paris first snow of winter.Not much but well enough to whiten all the ground.Should quickly clear leaving a cloudness sky and temp going well down forecasted at -6c for center Paris and -8c in suburbs Will be slipery tomorrow morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

-9.2c for my suburbs was the low at 0800 am which is coldest since 26th december 2010 by nearly 2c. Now pressure at 1036 hPa Currently -4c at 14h28 pm local just briefly went to -3.8c at 13h00 pm but going down again!!!! A nice pure blue sky now. With the wind and as it is so dry no trace of frost anywhere. a cm or 2 ( if lucky!!!) of snow is forecasted for our area here tonight and then should clear out during the early hours of morning for a cold day again. Windchill went to a truely wakening -16.9c at 0730 am and did not go above -10.4c for now.

Europe is worth a look , if you click select cartes then Europe then the 0700 utc map : The -15 c wide spread temps are really at the gate of France !!!!!!!!( well some stations in France got -15c just locallly)

The last report from 0700 for my area is -9.1c ,but certainly still going down as sun is not out yet .In the greatest Paris area temps go from -8c in central Paris ( which is really cold as Paris usually gets the urban effect and its heat ) and -12c further east in far away suburbs!!!! Most suburbs are at -9c

Fear for France too as the cold spell does not seem to end but goes on next week here.Fear most for the homeless although Authorities are working on it to help them but certainly not enough. I don't know if it is the same as heat: a couple of days of heat may be ok but the longer it gets, the stronger effects on the fragiles and eldery

Already -5.7c at 2200hours which was reached at 0200 am last night!!!! don't know but the wind is a tiny bit less strong but a reallly cold cold night ( i was out an hour ago and really keeps you awake ) The temp is still falling Think -10c could be reached!!! Lastest at 2330 a nice -6c just right on!!!! Ps also much stronger windchill at -13,1c which also was reached at 0200 and wind just a tiny bit less stronger than yesterday. Max windchill was this morning at -15.5c same time as low temp -7.5c at 0900

So lowest today -7.5c at 0900 hours local max : - 1.9c at 1600 hours ( stayed above -2c for a couple of mins!!) pressure at 1029.2 hPa rising RH :43 % Ps am a beginner to models but think we are in for a least 5 or 6 days with low temps below -5c ( at least) and max temps below 0c!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quick answer am at work!!!!!! : not yet On the 26th december 2010 -7.8c for Orly Airport and this morning -7.5C at 09h00 hours local time theses are the 2 lowest since the 26th december 2010.Tomorrow low forecasted -9c to -11c here ( will be hard to reach -12c i think) .Will let you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning to all : Temp now : At 7.30 am For Orly at -7.3c still falling ( sun not out yet) coldest low of winter but not for long i think. windchill at -15c strongest gust in an hour 28 miles Northeasterly wind Pressure 1027.2 mb rising Sky is all clear Rh 54% Just been out a bit and in the wind it is just waking you up really!!!!!!!!!!

look at theses temps below for my area ( south of Paris)-7,2c not bad and a windchill of -15c!!!just a start tomorrow should be 3 to 5c colder!!!

Well Aaron been dull here and cloudy ( clouds we are not to see for a few days here!!!!!) all day with a top temp at 1.1c for Orly airport , the wind is slowly starting to pick up and from 7 pm local time to now 7 44 pm the sky almost completely cleared itself!!!!! and temp dropping much faster than yesterday.So tonight is the start of cold wave proper here in Paris. Locally temps could go below -8c in less urban suburbs.It is just a start!!!!!!! 4 nights forecasted where i could reach or nearing -10c!!!!! Ps: also till sunday no temps above -2c for Paris and all suburbs!!!!!!!

max temp here 2.7c at 1400 hours but at 0100 it was 3.7c clear spells , almost blue sky at around 11 am till 4 pm then turning grey Pressure 1028 mbar RH : 77% Currently just before heading to bed at 23 55 local it is just under 0C at -0.2C

Concerning France i think really depends , locally with snow on the ground some night temps here in France could really plunge well below -15c forecast tonight on tv , they put Paris close suburbs ( mine included!!!!) at -11c for Friday and Saturday morning.Yesterday it was -11c for very far suburbs or country

Some snow showers forecasted for Paris area on Saturday.Next week we could be in for some serious freezing night temps ( we could reach -7c in less urban suburbs) . Winter is at last coming our way for our part here!!!

evening all, Woke up to a nice -5c this morning reached just when i was leaving home for work at around 0815 am with a clear blue sky turning hazy midmorning but fairly clear all day with a top temp at 5c which is 10c difference from morning!!!!was feeling nice under sunshine, nicely wrapped up at round 2 pm when i was back from lunch. So nice to see the frost on the rare grass fields in my urban suburb or in parks. It is now -1c but falling much less rapidely than yesterday.It may be that i get under -2c It is getting cloudier but still can see some stars now at 2335 local time Pressure 1032 hPA RH 86%

don't remember anything of that year and it was my second trip to uk in June. I recall the year before in Paris on the 31st of may1992 a violent thunderstorm and a record breaking 192mm of rain in 24 hours in central Paris.I would always remember it as we were just moving furnitures from my grandmon who died a few months earlier and it was like a tropical rain never stopping. My cousin and i were using the rain to cool us down from moving stuff but it was warm rain. It brought many floodings.don't know if anything in Uk during that day?

yes recorded the coldest minimums , for March, on the morning of 1st march 2005 for many suburbs ( monthly minimum records) around Paris.I had a -9.3c which was really amazing so late.I will remember this month as barely 15 days after we had 22c in daytine and near record too!!! I would say for a small cold wave would be by mid february if the models don't show anything good.Same for snow , although it certainly may not last very long on the ground.But then with the weather expect the unexpected!!!
