Nothing much heading towards me on the radar at the moment!! Think I'll come back in a couple of hours to see if anything severe is heading towards the forecasted severe threat area!!

Had plenty of heavy, torrential showers here this morning, as of yet no T&L though!! Suprised to see my area in the severe zone from UKASF! Would of thought it would of been a little further north!! Nevertheless, a good day of radar watching to come, with just as reasonable chance as I have had all summer of finally catching something!!

I don't know whether it's the same low, but Ian Fergusson has just forecast some sharp, thundery showers tomorrow morning over all our region!! Something to watch!

It's official!! Today has been the windiest day of the month here in Bristol! Just had a gust of 35mph, which has exceeded the previous best gust of 34.1mph set on the 6th!! Pressure's rising here now and the breeze is easing a bit! Now an amazing sustained wind of 8mph!! Wow, I hear you all say!! Lol!

Current sustained windspeed here is 5mph, highest gust is 28mph at 02.14!! Pressure is 999.6mb!! To summarise, drizzly, overcast, cool and breezy!!

Current windspeed here is 4mph, max gust today was 27mph!! I better get the washing in!!!! Lol!

For those of you in the north, enjoy and stay safe!! It's going to be the best storm for a long while for you northerners!! For those of us in the south, don't worry, there is always Hurricane Maria!!!!

Met office warnings have been downgraded now! The Yellow watch has been removed from the South West and South Wales and the Orange warning has shrunk in size!

Totally agree!! The above forecast posted a few posts back is how I see things going!! Forgetting about the "it could be further south" or if the jet affects it this way scenarios and just using all facts, data and model input we have in front of us, anywhere from the Midlands south will be wondering what all the fuss is about! It will be windy yes, but nothing out of the ordinary for Autumn! Northern England may see some decent gusts, but the real wind will be reserved for the Scottish and Irish!! Whilst the track and intensity may not be 100% certain and with the British weather anything could still happen, the above is the vastly odds on scenario, by using all model data and no "what ifs"!! If it does track further south and affect southern England with severe gales/storm force winds them I will personally PM you all and grovel/aplogise for hours upon end! Lol! Im pretty damn confident I won't be doing that though!

According to Peter Gibbs, it's not possible to have a hurricane on this country!! Not even the storm of 87 was a hurricane!! And he strictly says that we will not be having a hurricane over the next few days, no matter what the windspeed!! On iPhone so can't post link, but his blog is on BBC 23 degrees!

Serious torrential downpour here now!! All our sky channels just went off!! No T&L though!

Thunder in Bristol!!! You heard it here first!!! Loud crack of thunder overhead!!!

No T&L or Tornadoes here but there has been some heavy, torrential and pretty persistent periods of rain now!! Roads are turning into streams and there are some mahoosive puddles around!! Would be interested to know how much rain will have fallen by the end of the day!!

Plenty of heavy downpours in the last couple of hours here but no T&L as usual!! Think today is slipping away now, was really hoping for something today as things were looking good all week for here!! Nothing stormy in the foreseeable future now either!! Still looks like some heavy showers coming out of Wales for the next couple of hours but that's all it's going to be!! Oh well, of to the NSC for one almighty winge!!

Looks like some hefty showers already over Devon & Cornwall! Don't seem to be moving anywhere fast either!! I'm stuck in no mans land once again!!

I think the main acivity will be over D&C and into south Wales again!! Don't feel too optimistic now!! Notice the thunderstorm symbol has been replaced by the White cloud symbol now!! We'll wait and see, but I'm finding little encouragement and support for anything IMBY tomorrow!

If the showers/storms are going to be over South Wales and the south west again tomorrow then that should mean a chance for West Mids too as generally the showers are going to be moving NNE tomorrow therefore heading from me to you!! Lol! Like today, although a little to far west for you ( and me ) the stuff in south Wales continued to mid Wales!! We both need an eastwards shift of that LP over Eire!!

We still have the thunderstorm symbol on the BBC site for tomorrow!! Take bets to how long it is until it gets replaced by light shower.........?????

I hope tomorrow delivers something as today has been rather dissappointing here!! Met think storms will be in the same places again tomorrow, a little to west for me!! Need to push it further east!! ( how often does a westerner say that ) lol!! IMO tomorrow isn't looking as good as what it was here, but there is still potential!! Can see the stormclouds in Wales though!!

Been quite poor today here!! Just a couple of bog standard showers!! Tomorrow was always meant to be the better day anyway, hoping the Met warnings shift east and cover me!!

That estofex forecast looks pretty pants!! I was hoping for a bit better!! Radar at watching it is tomorrow then!

I don't think there will be that much rain tonight, not as much as the met are forecasting anyway!! The best chance for widespread thunder comes in the form of thundery showers on Friday IMO!!

Estofex have nothing over us whatsoever for today/tonight!! TORRO sounds better!!

I'm mainly in St George, but I also spend long periods of time in Hanham, Yate and Bedminster!!! We've had some decent, regular downpours today!! Just a shame there has been no T&L to top it off!! Il be listening out for Ian later, if he mentions T&L then that's the time to get excited!!
