Well nothing here overnight, but I didnt expect it so not let down. METO has me down for 3 hours of sleet from 12 LOL The main band keeps edging very slowly North West but seems to be dying out as it does, and there are showers moving South West from the North Sea, but again dying out as they do................................WTF do I live in the middle of England!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhh

I live a couple of miles from there and there’s definetley no snow whatsoever!! i am now chucking the towel in for this event! North Sea showers maybe on tomorrow!

I am the same as you Chris, although I have to say I’m not as down as I thought I would be lol, there’s people with a lot more problems than me not getting snow! Still bloody frustrating though

Ive just seen a tractor fitted with big red snow ploughs front and back go throuhg the centre of Coventry ha ha ha ha I tried to stop him to see what forecast he was looking at!!!!!! Yes we all thought this would be the main event this week, at least we had rain on Tuesday

Agree. Again why has this been so difficult to forecast by the models/professionals??

If this was rain in the middle of May non of us would be interested in how it moves or pivots lol

A question for more experienced members, What physical/environmental factors are needed to push it more north, and why earlier in the week/yesterday these were happening and today they are not, and why it has been so difficult to forecast?? Or is it the case we have all just been focusing on the models from an IMBY focus and don't take the time to look at wider factors/influences?

I going to be really positive today!!!!!!! We now have now snow on the METO or BBC, so I am taking that means good news as on Tuesday we had heavy snow symbols and nothing!!!! It will be really interesting to see how it moves today.!!

Latest METO update now has this area for light snow from 6am until 9am this is a massive downgrade and appears at odds to other models based on the above posts? Can anyone provide guidance/info. Thanks

again its typical that these showers are dying out as they approach me. I know nothing was forecast today but when you see a bank of showers progressing nicely over stoke it kinda gets your hopes up. I will never learn

I have to say looking at the Arpege 00z this morning its nots as strong as yesterday in terms of PPN, as someone said earlier fizzles out, but it does have the front reaching derby/notts just, but I think any further corrections south its game over!! However having said that none of the models really handled yesterday's event well so lets all be positive and will the snow to us in the midlands
