I think we METO have their eyes on it to, as our forecast has changed to light snow now during the night, let's hope the streamer builds and our forecast changes to heavy snow. The kids want an early start to half term!! Very fine flakes in the air now

Anyone noticed that streamer that is starting to develop just above the wash???? Forecasts for Saturday temps now raising by the hour tonight has to be our best hope for lying snow tomorrow? Another question should there be a Thread for 36 to 48 hour models as the the MOD thread our always looking past 6 days onwards which they never seem to get right as it's so unpredictable. Or is that what the regional threads are for???

I really don't know about the coming days...the METO have no snow for me in the forecast and warnings so I'm taking that as a positive as when it's forecast it never arrives. Reverse thinking!! Still be disappointed either way. It's the just life of being a snow junkie!! I would settle for a cm but if I get that I want an inch and then a foot!!! Good luck to us all let's hope the weather surprises us!!

I completely agree with you. I wasn't expecting much but the meto did forecast an hour of heavy snow and that didn't happen!! I cannot even see the south east getting hit the main band is moving to quick. I bet Heathrow won't be very happy the METO. Tonight will be a non event to trust me!!!!!! With these events I do have sympathy with METO but I think they are over cautious!! Anyway see everyone next time for the next non event!!!

All over for us now in NW Leics and those streamers in north Wales will miss us to the west. When will I learn.....so much hope again dashed!! Good luck to fellow midlanders in the west who will look to do well from the north Wales streamers.

Very wet snow in Ashby de la Zouch NW Leics!!!!! Trying so hard!! heavy shower on the way south east from stoke to this area. Please please

I just can't see this happening band is moving south east to quickly. Main bulk appears to be in the channel and then into France. All hopes now on the streamer!!

Me and so been out sledging at our secret location, which always has the last snow to melt!! making the most of the melting snow. Mixture of snow and grass but it was fun! Just logged on and had 5 emails from metoffice warning service....has something changed for tonight...

Cool hopefull it might change here as the back end passes through! I wonder if brad gate park has a good covering for sledging

Yeah I know what you mean, don't want to appear negative, and it was great to see so much snow last night, but the tempatures have just not been low enough!!!

Cheers ...I won't have a very happy 9 year old tonight!!! HIs dad's not that happy either

Advice please.my son was really fed up that he had to go to school today!! Do we have he confidence to tell him that there could be some more snow tongiht?

To be honest I think whatever snow does come thru the night will have melted by 10am tomorrow based on latest temps forecast

I'm a 4 miles SE of you..I'm hoping for the same however melting here

Where is the polar low thread

Just been a walk and unfortunately can hear that horrible drip drip sounds little steam S running down the road! Snow to set as soon as u put your foot down its melting. Need it to start to freeze Snow is addictive, when we get a cold spell a couple of days before we all say it would be good to get just a cm, then when we get a cm we want 2 then 3 then 2 inches!! Then we moan because it is the wrong type of snow, to wet, to dry. And so on. We should all save our pennies and have a Netweather Midlands Thread convention in Sweeden in January to get it out of our system!! And we would not spend hours on here We all need snow counselling

Don't want to raise alarm but tempature is going up here and just been outside and very wet snow falling abit of rain mixed in!

Yeah I completely agree...doesn't feel that cold. Conditions on M1 North of Sheffield look abit tasty! I've got to get back to Leicestershire at lunchtime from Leeds...what r my chances do u all think?
