    Yep I think it is just to wet.......I think the snow will fall, but with only a slight accumulation. We don't seem to get the heavy stuff

    Advice please we are near ashby de la zouch north west leicestershire my son is 8 today and my wife has spent a month preparing a spy party so we have 10 kids at our house at about 430 obviously my son is really excited. Looking at the radar it all looks to be moving northeast with us being in a gap, but people are talking about it moving back south east if so looks like we will be in the firing, do I need to start to warn my son we may have to postpone his party or should we be ok?

    I have to say this looks like its going down the tubes again very light here more like snizzle meto radar breaking up each 30 mins oh dear we've put ourselves through it again without any joy! To wet not cold enough thats why Andy was not on here he knew the outcome!

    Right I have got to travel from ashby de a zouch to Preston in the morning starting at 6am who thinks I will get there based on current forecast ice/snow and current conditions radar etc

    temp 3.1 here was 4.7 at around 12ish still rain temps dropping as forecast though ive got a good feeling about this

    Radar has now nearly fizzled out for me in terms of heavy ppn. Absolutely rubbish I have just tweeted METO for an explanation!

    Radio Leicester news still forecasting heavy snow, they have just had a bloke on from the highways agency saying they hav snow ploughs on stand by as they think they will need to use them later on the ring road! Are these people serious!

    U were right Andy. I am really gutted about this. I wanted to see heavy snow fall. The cold spell has been good, but it has been mostly long periods of light snow and the forecast of low tempatures have just not materialised!

    1.5. Here now this is ridiculous how could they get it so wrong! This has got to be the biggest let down yet!
