I enjoy mods watching and have for many years especially of late , but never try and fall into the trap of looking past day 7.. those experts among us that try to predict seasonal forecasts are flogging a dead horse as this is now the second winter on the trop that has been forecast to have a cold hearted winter (when predicted back at end of nov) I don't like to have my hopes dashed so therefore just look at what the mods are saying now, not nxt month... Lets hope there will be something in store for February.. -
Just had our first flakes of snow of the winter ( mixed in wth sleet and hail} was heavy enough for the top of my car to go white briefly .. temp her around 3c , so it wont be hanging around...hopefully January will be more fruitful and some of us will have pics like they have had further up north..

What concerns me is although we may drag in North Easterly's or Esterlys the temps wont be that low on the continent , couple that wth high S.S.TS and it may feel cold , but no where near cold enough for any white stuff. -

sorry to change the subject guys , but is anyone apart from myself getting bored wth this winter???? I see little if any signs of cold ,let alone snow in the foreseeable .. the best we have had is a foggy morning and a slight frost.. Its the 21st of Jan and I've had 1 air frost so far ( -1.2c).. sorry for the moaning ,probably on the wrong thread.. I suppose we were due a mild one..- 833 replies

Well to be honest, ive had it wth this cold now, only a dusting here this morning in Thanet which is disapointing since rain today had us under the heavy stuff for most of the evening and night, i can only assume it all blew away in the 50mph winds!! somebody somewhere has got my snow , please return no questions asked!!!! On a more serious note my heating bill is going to be Mega... dont see us having mch of a summer wth these sea temps as low as they are, will take some really hot weather to get them in the teens this year ,as there starting v.low.. Still raw here temp 0.5c , fish pond is 1 big ice cube..- 775 replies

Wierd day, thick fog all day and heavy rain wth it, temps starting to fall off too now at 5.8c.. would be nice to see some snow early next week, but dont really want the cold to drag on forever , as being a landscape gardener by trade its starting to have a knock-on affect , buissiniss wise that is. snow should be reserved for Jan/Feb, wth summer following in March, we can dream...I will settle for 1 day of snow and ice...- 834 replies
