How has it all gone so wrong.. The deep cold uppers have gone replaced wth standard cold. The Easterly just not happening just a cold block. Why!!!!! I now have model fatigue & im going to bed ..

Do or die time for ECM God help us if it goes pear shaped. Will be mahem in ere To be honest , up to 144 still looks great. Thats all we should be concerning ourselves wth.

I know what u mean. We seeing all these fantastic charts on the mods , but meto & bbc not having it for our little corner. Think it will defo be down to nowcasting. Things will hopfully pop up out of the blue. Surely wth -10-11 uppers over us we are not looking at rain . If thats happens then im done.

P.s no lying snow here since 2013 im my neck of the woods. So got everything crossed here in hope that this is our turn. Sick of seeing pics of peps north of the m4 wth the white stuff. Law of averages says after 5 years we deserve something.

Looks a v. Cold week Bit worried that the trough distruption from N.w never really makes it to our corner in tact so the usual places i.e midlands will do best frim the set up if it happens this way. Hopefully we nay get a few C.m from shower activaty if the N Sea fires up. Dont want to sound down beat but thats the way i read the charts as they stand at this moment. Hopfully there will be further upgrades on ppn as wth the cold in place we need it... C.

Which model in your opinion shows better in terms of longevity cold Im sure last nights 18z gfs was showing cold all the way out to 300 fl wheras the ecm looks to be eroded by the atlantic by the time we get to nxt friday. Which leads me to think this is a 4 day cold spell...

Looking at the ppn charts , It never reaches the S.E so where are u getting your prediction from ?

East kent not in on the actoin here. Why dosent that surprise me.

Assuming this is frontel snow band , will it continie right across the S.E or are we looking at it getting pushed bck west by pressure rise from East. (So some places would get a double wammy..)

Exacally my point.. I guess we are just gonna have to be patient & wait for it to evolve..

Just a question for those more experienced. Why are the bbc still going for N.Westerly sourced air nxt week And still have temps in the south between 5&7c They are not showing any thing like what the posters on this forum have been showing for the last 12 hrs now. How can there be temps like there forcasting wth minus 10-12c uppers from a frigid east. ?? Im assuming they have there own mods and are completly disagreeing wth what what the majority of us in here are hoping for & seeing ??

You were right in your first sentence. Venting my frustrations about this winter does help... The problem this winter seems to b the complete lack of cold on the contient. We have had plenty of moisture coming up against cold air , but not cold enough for us southerners , wheras the midlands north have been ubbing there hands wth glee on more than 1 ocassion!! We just havent had that true eppic freeze for several years now and one is starting to loose hope.

Save me from this miserable wet , cold no eventful sham of a Winter... It really is just awful. Time is ticking , soon be time for throwing in the towel wth nothing of interest in the reliable. Roll on Warm Sun !

This will be my 5th winter wth no lying snow.. nxt 2 weeks are looking mild with s.westerlys. What is going on wth winter for us sotherners. My kids have quite honestly forgoten what snow is ! On a lighter note neighbours shed is on its side... Totally depressed..

Will all be very moderated for us in the S.E Again !! Looking very good for all those west & North.. Not a great Winter for us Southerners again.

14 days of S.Westerlys forcast now. Wind & rain to boot. Im sure the mods were forcasting heights over Scandi this time last week. What happened AGAIN !!! Very very frustrating in the Mod thread.. Snowing in Ramsgate. Not settling We r on the coast though and to be honest im surprized its snowing at all If only it were a few degrees colder.

For your neck of the woods maybe. The south east stays dry ( Wet on Sunday) if cold throughout. Sorry but this is no U.K wide Freeze.. Just a cold spell , wintry mix for some wth frosts . Lets have some perspective.. Its the cold from the east we need , but none to tap in at this stage of the Winter. More Seasonal than normal though i agree.

Just had my first snow flurry of the Winter. Not bad considering its only Nov 30th. Temp is currently 0.9 c

Moderate sleet /hail shower Temp 1.4c All of this morning's covering gone..

Just a few CM here in Ramsgate.. snowed on & off all night but temps have just been the wrong side of freezing other wise im sure we could have woken to a lot more.. Still snowing lightly here at mo.. Any where wth Elavation near here should have done better...
