About 4cm here last night on top of the 3cm from previous nite. Nothing Epic but fun to be had. Bck down to -2.4 here now so first ice day this year nailed i would think. ( rose to 0.4c yesterday) Back garden still good cover. Front patchy in Sun.

In danger of losing my iceday. Currently -1.6 but rose to -0.4 Looking good for all of us Friday if this comes off. With possibly a few areas west of the county getting some flurries tmrow. Very mch down to nowcasting the next few days , but frontal snow will plse all.

Agree. Think theres a 4 hr window for us & then its look forward to Friday. Having said that bbc has heavy snow showers for me tmrow morning .

But its not 2 weeks earlier & it wont last for 2 weeks. So therfore its just a standard easterly & in 5 years no one will remember it.

Thankyou. It is what it is . We are thankfull for whatever snow we may or may not have & look forward to other possable snow over the coming days. But in truth this is no epic spell for reasons we have no control

Wrong.. The whole of the S.E was plastered in 87. Wth sub zero day miniums. Not 6 inches here 1:inch there. There were snow drifts widely across kent ; sussex 10-12ft deep. Just to add the sea also froze around coastal areas.

Yeah Quite amazing temps widely below or at freezing & yet so mch snow melt. Just goes to show the strength of the sun in late Feb. Im old enough to remember the beast from 87 & although we had a lot more snow & colder tempratures , the Sun was a factor for areas south facing.. 2 weeks is a long time in meterological winter where the sun is concerned. 91'' was at the beginning of Feb and the sun wasnt mch of an issuie (very cold)

Its no 82,87,91,10. Lets be honest. To late in the season & not enough convection. Love to be proved wrong..

I sure do love your optumism Cant personally see shower activity as good tonight frankly . Wth the winds turning more S.E later surely that will take any ppn away from kent more towards suffolk^Norfolk. Thursday night ,Friday though is looking very interesting..( if the front could stall over the S.E for several hrs ,we would hit the jackpot). All my Snow today 4cm in the South facing area has gone. North facing garden still wth good cover. Thats the price we pay for snow end of Feb/march Temp has been close to 0c all day but ubundant sunshine. . Icycles on cars.. Still lying snow is lying snow , not to be sneezed at...

Meto & bbc app have my location ( Ramsgate ) down for snow all day now on friday. Previously it had said snow / sleet then rain. They have also dropped temps to 0c. .(previously 3-4c). Whats changed ??

Steve. Any idea where the snow showers will pep up from tonight. ?? Meto app has me ( Ramsgate ) wth heavy snow showers for several hrs tonight But looking at Radar in North sea & continent there dont seem to be a lot happening.. ( is it just convection again ?)

So peps woke up to fairly heavy snow. First lying snow for 5 years so its been a wait. Approx 3-4cm on flat areas. Met app has me down for 4#5 hrs of heavy snow tonite. Does anyone know where this is coming from or is it a case of shower activity again. If so then thats just pot luck. According to heart radio some places have 15 cm this morning , they must be in the sweetspot.. Temp dropped to -3.2 Currently -1.3. Will we get an ice day ?? Im not confident we will. Few pics for you guys that wernt so lucky. ( dont give up yet as i think we still have 1 or 2 chances.).

And Canterbury. Far too localised this event. In the old days when you got a beast the whole of the S.E would get plastered. ( usually wth 6#8 inchs of the stuff) Not living up to expectation.

No sure wots happening really. Keep seeing pink blobs over us here in Thanet but nothing to report. Wish it would get its act togeather & snow already & none of this blowing in the wind rubbish..

Reports now of light snow along several coastal areas of East anglia. But nothing showing on the Radar. Interesting Maybe wrh the very low dps radars wont pick up all the mousture ^ we end up being suprized..

The problem wth streamers is they will only effect 20-30% of us .. We really want widespread showers ,otherwise they will be a lot of us disapointed by Weds Im hoping as the wind veers N.E then E then S.E there will be more of a even distribution for most if not all of us.

Location Ramsgate. Top temp today 1.7c Now dropped to 0.6c Due pnt -8c Feeling really raw in the wind now. Still gin clear skies There seems to be a lot of ppn now on the radar across the low countries All heading in a Easterly direction.

Lovely sunny morning. Dropped to -2c currently 0.0c Thats on the coast so would be colder a few miles inland one would imagine Very dry air here , just walked dog and can feel the moisture sucked form the face & lips.. Due pnts must be very low. -

Guys Surely a few inchs of snow from showers this week & a good old Blizzard on Friday coupled wth a few ice days will be enough to quench our thirst for another winter season. Winter cant & wont go on forever so lets just keep our fingers crossed for a decent wintery week and be happy. For us that work outdoors nxt week will be testing...
