Just near Ditton, edge of Maidstone .. 50p size flake since 6pm. Started as rain then changed. Settling on roads , cars.. Hope it carries on all night ❄❄

So both Tuesday and Thursday failed to produce snow here and tonight when it was forcast as rain it's been heavy since 6pm and white outside .. well happy now. Just shows you what can happen

F F S For the 2nd time this week I wake up and look out the window to see no snow. Not even a dusting. On the news it's showing all the snow that fell including the SE. Pleased for those who are waking up for snow this morning. Snow shields working 100% lol.

Really hoping we get something decent tonight and over the next few days. Fingers crossed for everyone . My little boy would love the surprise of snow in the morning. The met are getting more confident of the very much colder weather I see from there website... Hope it doesn't change . UK Outlook for Tuesday 12 Feb 2019 to Tuesday 26 Feb 2019: Cold or very cold conditions are likely to dominate the weather throughout this period, with a greater than average chance of easterly or northeasterly winds dominating. This would bring an enhanced risk of snow, as well as widespread and occasionally severe frosts, although the exact details remain very uncertain. In this setup, the driest and brightest weather is likely in the north and northwest. It's been the most frustrating winter I can remember with so much promise all the way back from December. Since the end of the first week of January the models having been promising cold snowy weather with the beast that always fails to appear. Even today's event for us according to the BBC weather just now has downgraded the snow to rain and just the very back edge giving what they said "patchy snow but some in the SE missing it altogether " They do however think we will get heavier snow come Thursday down here but no doubt that will get watered down nearer the time. Really hoping Febuary delivers for everyone . March is always are best chance these days but it's just a shame we can't get it in the peak time of Jan,Feb when the days are shorter .....

I only just caught the end of the BBC weather for Tuesday but I thought it showed a low pressure system going through the middle of France. Is this the same low were all hoping goes somewhere over the UK or is it a different one? There was no talk of disruptive snow. Thanks in advance ❄??

BBC weather forcast now saying a fair bit of snow for Kent tomorrow. Just shows how snow can appear at short notice.. ❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄
