The snow eased off for a short while, but it's coming down thick & fast again now
Looking at the radar, that might be it for now. Let's hope the sun, if/when it reappears, doesn't melt it all away quickly.

Exactly! Overnight snow just isn't the same, unless it's a massive fall of course.

Sounds a plan mate. Make sure we are 300m asl+.. not too far into the wildneress, a couple of miles from a biggish town or close enough to main roads to get into Derby for work, night life, a couple of local offy's for beer, bread and milk. Good signal for Sky! You can go to work, I'll be the stay at home snowmom. (Dad).

The showers seem to be losing their ooomph by the time they reach more central areas such as here.

Snowing streadily here between Solihull and Shirley.
Now starting to build up on cars and grass and pavements in the open.
Temp slowly falling away. Now at 1.1C with dewpoint of -2.1C and slowly falling.

You really need to pay Monkspath Weather Station a visit and compare their setup to yours, MIA - the currently have the Dp at 0.3°C

Mostly clear here, but becoming very windy.

The temperature is stubbornly refusing to budge much at the moment, still wobbling either side of 5.5°C. But the dew point has really plummeted, now down to -2.5°C

If some of those GFS FI runs come off, I'd probably welcome a bit of heat from that roasting! (Or the warm glow from England going and winning the thing, but I think a GFS T+384 chart is far more likely to happen...
