  1. Things starting to develop here.. loads of convection all over the place, no anvils so either they havent hit the inversion layer or the cap's busted.
  2. well send it to torro if it's confirmed etc, u should know the drill by now or do you have to send it to the french version??
  3. nothing here, rains' stopped photos in another thread http://www.net-weather.co.uk/forum/viewtop...p=146040#146040

  5. 7am big clap of thunder, no lightning here torrential rain anow just drizzling
  6. so you reckon we gunna get up to 16 threads (not thread pages) in this one? certainly looks like i'm starting to get a bit of convction up here tho
  7. nah i was on my own... and no although i feel it, i'm not relatively "old" @ 30 (in a couple of weeks) Did you d/l the video ?
  8. was it about 6, 6-30? was the council bloke wearing a hi vis jacket, if so, are u sure it wasnt me ? I should have it on video as iirc the camera on the dash was running at the time, let me have a look through it. EDIT: http://weather.summerfield-technology.co.u...ugby-030804.wmv
  9. cool. paul ou can also add 2 to major tarantino, and also 4 for nabraxas as he was under the same storm as me
  10. That's actually the "centre" of the storm.... i'd already past through the front of it, then ironically enuff it stopped raining until I got to that point (distance of about 3 miles). i'm gong to have a go @ digitising my video later today. Great things Dashboard mounts aint they
  11. ok I dont know whether it classed as more than one, but had one this morning in huddersfield, then one in brum, then one in rugby, then back home had the tail end of one in huddersfield again... so that's 4 "visits" for me, although probably count it as3 as the rugby and the 2nd huddersfield one most likely the same storm, but even that isnt garaunteed
  12. report from me after trip to rugby/daventry I saw about 7-8 flashes lost count of thunder-noise working my way back up the M1, 3 flashes @ around fosse park (J21) 2-3 flashes around sheffield/stocksbridge way on the way home. in all I would say a good bakers dozen of flashes/noises. As for rugby, I dont know if it has any bearing, but the hail down by the DRFT place was pea size
  13. I hav eyet to go through the video I took, so we'll see if that's any good

  16. Just on my way back the Highways agency scuppered most of my plans because they've shut the A1(M) north up to BuroughBridge I went up to around Thirsk (cus of sitting in traffic on the way back). Stopped by on the way back @ Dishforth army airbase and spoke to the guard there, they had some rain just before I got there @ 19Z, i'd driven through it, and there was a couple of sounds of what he calls thunder but he was not sure, I seemed to have predicted well where the action was likely to have happened as that was my target area after leaving sheffield (confirmed by Ibex as an active place), I just happened to have got there a bit late... (ty highways agency). Other than a little rain, it was pretty un-eventful. I was usnig this as an exercise to see how well I can "forecast" things like this and tbh I was pretty close. One thing I did notice was that there was a ton of low level cloud (fog) going across parts of the A1(M) not very dense, but you could see it if you looked across and it was starting to get thicker on the way back. As I say, all in all an uneventful trip, but a good exercise in trying to predict patterns.. I have to give a plug to maccy-D's, their wifi is awesome, didnt even have to leave the car I recommend for those people that do take laptops with them (I used it for obvious reasons, radar, maps etc) it does come in very handy just pull in and grab the latest info... A must imho. It gets very boring on your own, so if any1 wants to come with me if anything starts flaring up, just let me know.... PM me and i'll pass on my MSN info
  17. well i'm sitting here in my local maccy-D's on the BT openzone, and the radar says there's tons of stuff happening, but there is absolutely bugger all about. temp (according to car temp) is 20C. All that's around is high level stuff I have pics etc and will be uploading them later. it's hazy which makes things difficult atm to spot. although looking @ the sfericsit looks like cardiff is getting a lot. More reports on my "chase" (if you can call it that) later
