SUNSHINE!!!!!! YAY!
-
Why are the temp predictions on BBC so off all the time. predicted temp last night was -2 for london. we got down to 0.5 only. max temp for today was 2 and we are now already at 2.4. Same thing happened last cold spell, predictions for at least 3 nights of 0 degrees for London but never went below 1. They really are a waste of time. (And those predictions are for the centre of london aswell).
Because they are computer-generated raw data

I think it's a bit rich people blaming the radar for getting this incredibly light snow/snizzle/sleet slightly wrong. The precipitation is so inconsequential that it's almost invisible.
It's druffizle (dandruff drizzle) - quite a bit of anaprop on radar too
-
Anapropwhats up with the radar? its all over the place.

My rain alarm went off a while ago but nothing is falling to the ground !
Very dry air, not much reaching the ground

Here in West Norfolk we have the sum total of .......................... ZILCH!

Snowing/sleeting in King's Lynn and dark as night. Very "awkward" mix
-
Lol - hoist with my own petard.and is Rin just short of rain?
-
Glad to hear your GUTS are being gentle, the Wash magnet appears to be pulling these showers in from the sea here, very short lived "awkward" mix of rin, sleet, snowCool 4 degrees, blue sky and gentle guts of about 5MPH here
-
From what I'm hearing it was a piece of space debris
burning up.

Meet you at the airportI'd like to follow it there on Saturday then please!

Every run in the last 24 hours have moved it slightly south - at this rate it'll be in the med come FridayFirst NMM now showing the start of Friday early on, with a hint it may also be further South over France, but the direction of flow may mean it still wallops the South coast?
-
There is some snow breaking out in front of the main event, but the main event is still hours away for our areaAccording to the radar there is an area of light snow towards the north of MK and over Northampton, anyone up there confirm that as it seems rather early unless some snow is breaking out ahead of the main front.
The social radar function on the netweather radar does have posts saying it's started snowing in Birmingham, so it could be correct.

Makes me lol even more, even today he is still spouting on about it, he couldn't be right "could he"In which case, let's all prepare for a Solar Sausage!
-
The ever delightful Mr Corbyn is still saying that the Milder air won't even make it and EA will only get snow. Says all the models are wrong! Lol lol and lol again.

Nothing at all in West Norfolk
-
Whereabouts are you Yarmy, light snizzle in town centre but not accumulatingVery light snow started about half-an-hour ago here. Accumulating nonetheless. Will that pivot envelope us, or will it peter out?

Ha - having to travel the A149 daily twixt Lynn and D'ham I'm finding it hard going. Have no problems with cold bright mornings like this morning but it's the ice on the roads (and of course the muppets) that give me angst.Probably. To be honest, what we've had the last couple of days would do me for the whole winter. I'm not greedy, I just like to have a proper seasonal spell each year in each season.

After a beautiful sunny early morning in West Norfolk and temperature of -9.4 a freezing fog bank has now rolled in. Temperatures jumped from -6.1 to -3.3 as the fog rolled in, humidity 51% and wind (what there is of it) gone from calm to 6Kt WNW - how odd. I'd have thought the temperature would have gone down in the fog not up. Oh, and to follow on from what Yarmy said - summation = NOT nice. Am I probably the only person here who hopes the Atlantic powers through this weekend?
-
Ha ha - was this tongue in cheek lol. Don't think snow settles on the sea oftenSome epic snowfall out over the North Sea. Not settling though.
-
Timing is everything lol
-
Chucking it down in DersinghamSnowing again here. Not that heavily though.
