  1. Definitely more shower activity than was in the early update
  2. Will go lower yet in the next two nights I reckon
  3. Disappointing output on the 0zs across the main models this morning the signal for a Scandi high seems to be weakening big time sadly fingers crossed for much better from the 18z later.i always dread the 0z runs get plenty drink in for the pub run
  4. I always used to tell folk per head of population there are more crickets in Aberdeen than Mumbai ,not sure he believed melooking like a lot of folk going nowhere on the roads today mind you they should only be out for the right reasons anyway
  5. Be over by tea time in India veteran Anderson shows them how to do it.im one of those rare things A Scot who played and loves cricket
  6. Some chill in some locations this morning a -14 or 15 very likely in the usual spots though I'd say the coldest night of the year is looking like Wednesday to Thursday morning some bone chillers looking very much on the cards as the wind drops out double digits below for quite a few
  7. Funnily enough it wasn't the thought of snow that had me up early as I guessed Aberdeen wasn't in line for much overnight but it was the cricket
  8. Think if I was in Fife this morning I'd stay home it looks nasty for a good while
  9. Looks like the convergence line has shifted slightly south so the shower activity in the central belt will be a little further south than last night along that line
  10. A gap to the next one after this one is through but you look primed for around 8am for another go
  11. A small addition in the city more in the form of graupel than snow but nice to see ,having checked the met charts I hope they are having a bad run sadly the GFS isn't a good 0z either, will see if the polar low for Thursday Friday is still there or gone
  12. Bugger just when I was ready for an early night lol
  13. Saw that too and also the met mention a chance of prolonged snow later in the week hopefully it stays in the forecast as a thought ,one worry is winds are forecast out of the south east then and the coast up here doesn't do well from them dew points wise especially
  14. Frustrating night but oh well at least we did get some still a chance of snow early morning and tomorrow going by the met office ,we shall see . T 0.3c dp-6c
  15. Don't think I,ll bother checking the lampost a flake every other minutethe precipitation is disappearing as soon as it get close to the city then once past gets going again the fun of the chase
  16. Think Im changing my mind on the area of precipitation out to the east of me it's a curious feature ,it was dying of but seems like it's building and might intensify soon it's as if two areas of cloud hitting into each other in a convergence of a sort ,anyone able to explain it ?
  17. I'm not sure maybe it's energy gets lost to the convergence line to the south only a guess would be great if it did the opposite
  18. Think it will die off quickly and we may see a flake fluttering in the wind ,while the main action gets going further south areas in the central belt near the Forth Clyde streamer will see good depths over the next day or two
  19. Strange object spotted in the sky to the east this morning, forgotten its name it's kinda yellowish bit on the bright side ,anyway it's made an appearance after its quarantine, still some showers adding to the cover maybe 2 to 3 inches I'm not venturing out till that scary object in the sky goes I might melt T -0.6c dp-2c
  20. Certainly heavy in the city and very dark a good inch in no time bullseye
