    @Mair Snaw @drm just heard awpr from Ellon to bridge of don and in around those areas plus Aberdeen city are pandemonium with cars stuck, roads closed and generally horrendous driving conditions. ?? Not like the gritting services didn’t know snow was forecast today maybe they are using the radar like we are

    Yeh there’s a good bit fallen in that last shower. radar isn’t playing ball so can’t tell if there is more intense showers still to come through this afternoon or not

    Some good heavy showers making their way to Aberdeen over next few hours. I’m up in Altens and it’s been heavy here for best part of 20mins now so fingers crossed for more ??

    I’ve stopped watching the radar some little flakes blowing in on the breeze when I took the dog out. It will be what it is when I wake up in the morning ??

    Not sure if it’s just my eyes but the heavier showers on the radar seem to become less i year as they close in on the land. Any know why this is??

    It’s caused by super cold water droplets sticking to the snowflakes as they fall....basic explanation lol

    Yeh it’s been heavy showers in Aberdeen on and off. North Sea looks primed for showers all day if we can hold onto the E/W track. You’ll get a few more I think maybe not heavy though

    Yes potential to get a another good dumping. One of my customer has just sent their staff home from office in westhill as there is apparently heavy snow due later on towards end of business day ? Maybe they know something we don’t

    Yes it was just whipping off the fields and covering the road. Watched the road get cleared and then 30minutes later it was covered again

    2010 was pretty special from what I remember. -12/13 temps and snow day after day. We stayed in Kilmalcolm at the time and I dug the car out most days before work

    Couple of pictures from 2018 around Newburgh. First one is the road out the village on the 28th feb and the next one is from 1st March.

    Personally I think the Norwegian service is the best for our climate. Their app is consistently on the money to the hour as well.

    I am right up at the very top as well blowing a Gale but rain could be closeness to the sea but I think it’s just too mild. Was 4c here mid morning but dropped to 1.5 now
