  3. well after getting a small fix of the white stuff on saturday while back down in Kilmacolm.....the depression has now set in propoerly. I would really be happy now if the sring/summer would arrive NOW!! managed to get out and wash the car on sunday, while as exciting as that is, it just doesnt cut the mustard!! Aberdeen is meant to be drier than Glasgow or the west coast......id like to refute that point.
  4. Was in kilmscolm last night and woke up to snow this morning al be it short lived. Hills round about and out towardssouth covered tho.
  5. Great I'm driving from Aberdeen to kilmacolm tomorrow, leaving Aberdeen at 5pm. So might take the good ladies Jeep instead of my sporty number if its meant to snow then?
  6. get him on here martha......defo not too heavy and very educational.....maybe makes sure the swear filter is on though when its meant to snow but doesnt lol

  8. Makes me miss Kilmacolm CMD snow was always good there but your could drive down to linwood and nae snow at all!!
  9. Well the model thread is a bundle of laughs this afternoon!!! lots of moaning and nit picking each other about whether it will snow or not!! not going in there again thats enough for today. Things improving and by looks of things i may see some snow showers early next week which will be a nice change to grey skies and rain.
  10. That is one thing i dont miss about the west coast....enless rainy days! although kilmacolm was always good for a pasting of snow
  11. If anyone deserves some snow its you BUS!! surely skadii teh snow goddess will drop some off you!
  12. I shall not be getting too excited untill i see white stuff falling from the sky......us Aberdeeenshire folk (Rav that includes you) have been disapointed too many a time lol but much more promising than of late. Wonder if the METO and the Beeb will start to pick up on the possible cold next week....anyone want to place a bet on when it will be mebntioned??
  13. All is ok people The "Polar Express" has rolled out another gem of a story. We shall all be blanketed by snow ans ice next week and all shall rejoice at the winter wonderland..........Oh hang on its all rubbish as usual and Mr P from Vantage weather has got his name in the papers again. Worth a read if you need a laugh on day 2 back at work! http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/452414/After-the-great-flood-comes-the-big-chill-with-sub-zero-temperatures-from-the-US
  14. Well I am really bored of this wet grey windy spell. Been talking in work about the current US situation and we rekon we have only had to scrape the car of ice a maximum of 2/3 monings this winter so far!! Which is fankly just incredible when we are now into January. On a positive note i have booked my holidays off for the last 2 weeks in july so if you want warm weather stay at home those 2 weeks as its guarenteed to be since im away! Hopefully we can get some sort of change into the weather soon!
  15. Well a merry Xmas to you all! Wind here is really gusting strong as I've seen here and mother in law was saying she has never seen her conservatory roof rattle like it has been. Pressure dropped to 952mb earlier but is back up to 956mb now. Temp currently 4.6c feels more like -4.6 though,
  16. not much going on here in aberdeen. apart from a heavy snow shower earlier its all been rather quiet
  17. heavy sleet/snow shower in aberdeen centre just now!
  18. I would think that glasgow could see gusts of 50-60mph with sustained around the 40-45mph range. I would think that the north west is going to get battered much worse than the glasgow area. *dont quote me on that though as you never know with lows like this*
  19. Also had to scrape the car this morning which was a surprise especially as i am right on the coast!! Seems too be the usualy monotinus grey cloud again that we have had for weeks now. Not looking forwards to watching my xmas lights blow af the roof tomorrow/wednesday, hoping that the 70+mph gusts are few and far between.
  20. Its about 230m above sea level I think. Anyone confirm?
  21. A 940mb Xmas bomb!! Thats going to be an interesting night :-P
  22. Just seen on BBC Scotland news, south of Inverness on a9 and its snowy!!!
