    Heavy graupel/hail showers in Altens all day with some sleet in bridge of son on way back home. Arrived home to a dry road and the good lady saying it’s been dry but windy all day ? Newburgh snow shield intact and working perfectly Amazing really, I always associated Aberdeen with cold snowy winters when we stayed in Glasgow, since being up here Glasgow had had way more than we have

    Had nothing but sleet in Altens (Aberdeen) and was just 100% pure rain when I left house this morning the northeast seems doomed to nae proper snow fall

    Can confirm heavy snowfall in Newburgh(aberdeenshire) Met office app forecast has also changed to heavy snow for next few hours ???????? Road has gone from black to white and has a nice wee dusting already! ?????

    I think I’m too close to the coast being in Newburgh. Showers look to intensify a bit once they pass the coast. Still a decent amount of drifted snow though so can’t complain too much

    Can anyone explain why the intensity is so much more dundee and south through Firth compared to further north on east coast in say aberdeen?

    Few very light showers blowing in on a strengthening wind in Aberdeen. Nothing laying and melting almost immediately.....hurry up and arrive I want the S word and lots!!

    Don’t think it’s technically a polar low although it’s been coined as that by various tv weather presenters. As far a I can see from charts it’s a low tracking in North Sea and rather unusual I’d think borders would be in for a pasting off it

    I’m in Newburgh so just up the road. I think We may do well from this. 2010 gave some significant accumulations and with 850 uppers looking like -11/12c come Tuesday night we could donget pasted! Fingers crossed.

    Little bit of graupal this morning on way into work just north of aberdeen. Wind is getting proper cold, temp is 2c but feels below 0!! Let’s hope we get a proper pasting up here in Aberdeen.....I’ve been waiting for a decent snow since 2010!!
