    Very hot here today, loads of horrible wee beasties crawling all over everybody. Some of my tall plants have collapsed with heatstroke.

    Isnt it a weird spell though? Either you get brilliant hot sun or you're smothered in chilly gloom, and there's a brief changeover period with sun and cold winds. Poor plants and birds won't know if they're coming or going!

    We've had cloudy mornings with brilliantly sunny afternoons/evenings. Scorching today temp at 5pm is 18.5.

    Well today is different. The air is gentler warmer and its actually nice outside even at this time in the morning. Sky grey but sun trying to break through, temp on Puffy's weather station 9.8c.

    Same down here. ready for real warmth now and want to see the garden picking up. Beenbright and sunny most of the time but very cold air.

    Well we had a horrible day yesterday. Drizzle and then rain and then drizzle and then heavy low cloud. And a plague of very big very loud wasps trying to get in the kitchen and the shed.

    Wow - we havent had anything like the bad weather you're all getting. This morning the BBC says drizzle and overcast - oot the windae says bright sun, blue sky and fluffy wee white clouds. Breaking News - husband got Puffy's weather station up and running so I'll be able to tell you the temp soon. Erm. When I learn where to find it

    Seems to be a very definiate weather pattern down here near Jedburgh. Mornings often start off rainy but always always change to bright sun around 7am. When the met office forecast gives rain, we stay dry. I think we live in a huge saucer shaped bit and often the rain veers rouind the edge. Am quite liking this - getting soft in my old age

    Absolutely baltic this morning, cat was in between us when I woke up, she's better than a HWB. Looks like it might be nice though, blue sky and sun coming up.

    Bright and sunny again here but bird bath was frozen this morning and the cars were white.

    Grey and blowy and am not liking the prospect of another cold spell. Sort of want sunshine and flowers and warmth now. Must really be getting old
