  1. Thanks for sharing this. This must be in the post frontal environment? Interestingly, automated metoffice output showing chance of thundery showers late afternoon/early evening for here.
  2. Largely cloudy here now as the band of rain approaches, currently 22.7C. I have a feeling we may have missed the boat as far as storms are concerned, given the line of storms that have broken out further East. We'll see how things pan out, but not expecting much, unless things erupt along the approaching front.
  3. Hazy sun and partial cloud cover here right now. Warm and humid with temperature currently 22.2C.
  4. It's been a warm night here, minimum temperature was 18.8C. Looks like some storms have developed around the Stoke area, likely drifting up towards Eastern parts of the region.
  5. A hot day here today, temp reached 27.7C earlier. This is certainly my ideal version of a hot spell if we have to have one, one or two hot days at most, a decent chance of a thundery breakdown and then fresher air flooding in for a few days. Much more preferable to days on end of temps into the 30s Celcius.
  6. A noticeably warmer day today, temp reached 21.7C. We've managed to dodge the rain so far, all skirting to the North of here so far. All in all, a reasonable day.
  7. Bit hit and miss today, a lot of cloud, showers at times and a high of 17.4C. It was another cool night last night, temperature got down to 8.5C. Friday night is going to be a bit of a shock to the system compared to recent nights, with the temp only forecast to get down to a minimum of 17C or so.
  8. A sunny start to the day here and rather cool overnight, down to 8.8C. A largely sunny morning and stayed dry until around an hour ago when we had a couple of hefty showers. Temp reached 20.4C around lunchtime. Definitely could have been worse today.
  9. A day of two halves with the weather today. Grim this morning with heavy rain, but this cleared away around lunchtime to leave a dry afternoon with some sunshine at times. 17mm of rain fell this morning and temp reached 16.8C. Complete contrast to the weather we were having just a couple of weeks ago.
  10. Yeah, was certainly cooler overnight. I woke at one point and had that slight chilly sensation that I normally only feel, albeit on a bigger scale, in autumn/winter on cold nights and had to pull the duvet over me. I'd still much rather have nights like this than the temp only dipping to 17C and high humidity. Much easier to keep warm than cool for me personally.
  11. Yeah, that's the thing with online forums, you've no idea what's happened if people suddenly stop posting unless you know them personally, gets you wondering what might have happened.
  12. We had a mostly dry day yesterday, the showers all just to the North of here, so didn't do too badly compared to other parts of the region. It was mostly cloudy all day with just a brief glimpse of sun around midday, but could have been worse. A much brighter start today after a coolish night, got down to 9.4C.
  13. We've escaped all the showers here this morning, which have all tracked just to the North of here and now the sun is breaking through, so could turn into a decent afternoon here.
  14. No idea. It says on his profile that he last visited the site during November last year. He used to pretty much post on a daily basis, so his absence has been notable. Hoping everything is alright with him.
  15. Certainly very blowy out this afternoon, whistling through the house, but at least the clouds parted a couple of hours ago to leave a nice sunny end to the afternoon.
  16. Yes, don't need high temperatures to feel pleasant this time of year, such is the strength of the sun. Overcast here too this morning with the odd pocket of drizzle. The sun should hopefully break through this afternoon though.
  17. An overcast day here and the odd spot of rain every now and again, but nothing that significant until around an hour ago when some steady drizzly rain set in, the type of rain that soaks you through in no time, but this does seem to have eased off now. Not the best of days, but the weekend promises to be brighter at times at least.
  18. Back to sunny skies again today, very breezy out, but still felt warm in the strong sunshine, temp reached 19.6C.
  19. Not the best of days today, overcast, humid and some sporadic outbreaks of rain this afternoon. Temp still got up to 21.9C earlier despite the cloud. Tomorrow is looking to be much better.
  20. Much more my kind of weather today, sunshine at times, variable amounts of cloud cover that has produced the odd brief light shower, but not enough to spoil the day and a fresher feel as well with a nice breeze. A max temperature of 19.6C. Nice and comfortable. It's great to be able to wander into the bedroom at this time of day and it not be like a furnace.
  21. Yes, a fresher feel and a much more comfortable night for sleeping, got down to 12.6C overnight here. A lovely sunny start to the day.
  22. Yes, a fresher feel now, the temperature dropped from 25C to 17C as the rain moved through here.
