    Can't see Beds,Herts and Bucks doing very well in this. Too far west imho. Seem to be just on the edge of any warnings. Need showers to push well inland and not die out. Beds and Bucks never get in on a streamer IRC. Loved to be proved wrong.

    Over 2 inches in Bedford now and still coming down. Bit close to the green area on radar though. Hoping it stays snow.

    Not looking forward to next week. On a boat on the broads and the weather looks shocking. Last few septs have been lovely but minute we book a hol it turns sour. Is it really going to be that bad just hope rain is in the night but looks breezy throughout.

    Didn't get much overhead in Bedford. Seemed to split east of here up A1. Often happenes in beds. Not sure why. Lots of lightning to my northeast. Strange

    Hi all, very humid here in Bedford and very still. Looks like I may be far to west though? Any thoughts? Do I stay up? No good storms for years ️

    Not a great reader of the charts etc but have followed this discussion thread for a long time. Thank you all. Just looking at the model flip in the last 48hrs do you think it could flip back again as quick? Not sure I have seen such a quick change. But have learnt that no chart is worth getting excited about until it's <96hrs. Interesting all the same though. Happy new year

    Hi everyone. Off to my annual hols to the Norfolk broads. Last 3 years has been shocking weather with last year the worst. I fearing the worst this year too looking at latest charts etc. I'm no expert at all so can anyone throw a bit of optimism my way for the coming week? Are we far enough east to avoid a drenching? It doesn't look cold at least this year. Thanks in advance

    Thank you John. Will do. Running out of time before I go away but will look. Just a quick question. How do you work out surface temp from the 850's charts. Is it add 8-10c to the number. I remember reading this somewhere. The ecm for next 10 days doesn't look too wet does it compared to GFS for E Anglia in my very very limited knowledge would you agree. Thanks again. Love reading everyones posts esp the more knowledgeable like yourself.

    lol Seriously will there be any dry weather about. I am new to model reading but doesn't the ecm look a little better and the GFS control doesn't look a total wash out. Better towards end of next week after poor start to week? Really wish I could read the charts better. CIA

    Bit off topic, but don't need models when I go away on Norfolk broads as guaranteed to be shocking weather just like next week will be. It looks like being a foul week looking at the lows crossing the country especially Monday and Tuesday. Couldn't make it up. Please let it rain at night. Can anyone shed any good news for weather from Friday for 10 days?

    Not being a model reader how will I fair on the Norfolk broads for 10 days after Friday. My limited knowledge tells me dry weekend, unsettled tues and wed then improving. Is that about right? thanks in advance.

    I'm still learning to read the models but looking at FI for 10 days time am I right saying that cooler and fresher with some rain as off to Norfolk broads for 10 days. Would be a shame as had rubbish weather there for last 2 years. And up to now here in the east summer has been pretty good to be fair.

    Mental storm near Luton airport. Constant lightning and deep booms of thunder. Crazy Looks like more to come. Best storm in a decade

    Distant lightning to my southeast. Do we feel these storms are in line for Luton area. Seem on course.

    watching that area in the channel south of Brighton. Seems to be developing over the channel. Heading north. So blomin humid here now. Something could go bang anywhere imho.
