  2. There was a low showing up late last year it was around 940mb at the start of it come the day it was showing to arrive it ended up crossing northern europe and only the far south caught the edge of it

  5. Yep a warm southwesterly flow If I'm looking at that correctly, yes it will often be cloudy and or wet but temperatures would certainly be anything but cold but before that next week is certainly looking like a decent one for many at some point

Temperature Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly above the long term average over the three month period. Precipitation Over the three month period rainfall levels are generally expected to be slightly above the average. September Temperature: Above average Precipitation: Below average First half A good deal of settled weather is expected with temperatures often above the seasonal average, especially in the south. Southern and central regions should remain mostly dry during the period, although later on there is an increasing risk of some rain. The north should also have a lot of dry weather, although there will be a higher risk of unsettled weather with showers or spells of rain in these regions, especially later on. Second half The second half of the month looks is expected to bring a transition in the weather with unsettled spells pushing further south.   12. That storm keeps getting pushed further and further away into FI It was first shown to arrive on the 11th 2 days ago Then yesterday it got pushed back to the 16th And now its the 17th today
  13. Erm what about last September when 29. something was recorded and early October also saw temps way into the high 20's, its not too late at all for extreme warm values far from it. Those wanting gales ect are going to have to be very patient this year there is only small hints way out in FI for Gales but that keeps getting pushed back

  17. shedhead's thought's over the past few day's are now becoming clear in the models, the basic pattern at the moment is for high pressure to dominate for at least the first half of September with above average temperatures and very little rain away from the north
  18. Lovely outlook there a high pressure dominated winter hopefully this is the case a repeat of 2010 / 2011 is most unwelcome

Monday is looking like a lovely summer's day with plenty of warm sunshine around As the week goes on high pressure continues to keep things dry and settled for most of England and wales, Scotland looks prone to rain at times As we go further into FI high pressure continues to keep things mainly settled at dry apart from the spell of light rain here and there Its not until deep FI that there is anything unsettled and stormy So a good run from GFS tonight with ample high pressure around with Monday looking like the pick of the lot

  22. Thanks GIBBY some lovely weather coming up then after the wettest summer in 100 years I wonder what the odds are on the driest Autumn in ... years The one good thing is the days are more than long enough to enjoy the sun and warmth
