  1. for those who are interested , Meteorology speaking of course Brown Willy effect - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  2. probably following lockdown rules , can't go into Wales Yet
  3. well at that time the greatest cape / LI and temps should be there
  4. doesn't look like any model is showing a great for that time here is the gfs for 03z and 06z
  5. this is the UK it most certainly can , I'd be surprised if nothing whatsoever happened but I don't think anything really widespread was ever indicated and by really widespread I mean the whole of England was hit at once using that as a poor example
  6. I think It indicates The Heaviness of the rain the darker the colour the heavier the Rain , Believe that's from the Euro 4 Model , that 06z didn't go for a mass of rain overnight either
  7. Brief Update From Tony Gilbert Brief update 3.30pm A few T storms earlier NW Scotland and more recently Cornwall. Convection currently bouncing down off a moderate low level cap. Cut off point extended till 04z for central south. 12z Castor Bay and Cambs Sounding heavily capped at low levels. Surface dew points were well down on forecast. Map below is based on what could occur if surface moisture can increase sufficiently. Conversely if any storm that develop stay elevated then there is no tornado risk. Edit - Image is very small and probably worthless
  8. yep which is why convective weather added a moderate for the channel and coastal counties
  9. hello just looking at the met office fax charts and there thinner lines and lines that are more bold am I right in assuming these are fronts and troughs
  10. same here these setups in more recent times have favoured the East more than central and more especially western areas
  11. these charts must be taken with a bit caution as GFS tends to overdo these things , we shall see though and good for East Anglia and the East in general IF it manages to come off
  12. Will please those who felt deprived last week that's for sure IF it comes off
  13. that also goes the other way , it's not only negative posts that happens with , they're plenty of examples of heat and especially convective weather been ramped up by some based on a single run or model , it's not the one way street it's been portrayed to be and before the heat and potential storms later this week is thrown at me you don't have to go very far back to find some examples
  14. these thing are notoriously unpredictable , sometimes showing on models then on the day disappearing from every forecast and vice versa
  15. it's amazing what unwelcome outcomes both convective and otherwise do to forum attendance
  16. Nope I'm the second don't like and don't want them especially on Friday , want to celebrate Birthday in peace so that's Two not wanting against how many Hundreds that do ?
  17. well providing the S/Se get the lightshow this week I couldn't care less , I had enough of them last week
