  1. Lots of towering Cu today, but very much doubt anything will happen.
  2. I know it was silly of me to close the window but the rain was really coming in. Towards the end of the video I opened it a crack so the sound came back.
  3. finally got round to posting my video! Two extremely close strikes at the beginning. Thanks Adi F for all your help with sorting it out.
  4. If the SE is due to get anything today, whenabouts should it arrive?
  5. Well it has been chucking it down here for the last hour. No thunderyness to note.
  6. Lots of interesting clouds today and pretty gusty. Something could happen, but I think perhaps tomorrow may provide more.
  7. BBC just said thunderstorms are likely anywhere on Thursday.....
  8. Thanks for the explanation Sparticle, I will read it later when I have a bit more time. Had downpours and sunshine this morning, some cool looking clouds too.
  9. How do i go about understanding that chart? Also BBC is forecasting storms here for Thursday.
  10. After all the excitement of El Gordo, I don't think I've ever seen it so quiet on here!
  11. gah! I give up my video keeps failing to upload on YT
  12. I most of the time (not always) get a weird headache, it's sort of like a buzzing pressure headache just before and during a thunderstorm.
  13. How long did that video take to upload. I've been trying to do mine since yesterday and it's taking FOREVER. Good video.
  14. My video is uploading slowly. Couldn't edit it down ans video editor was broken so it's a ten minute video. Video will be posted later.
  15. I will officially be leaving the club after yesterday. I sort of left last month when we had a mini storm, but didn't really feel it was enough to leave properly.
  16. Longest - August of 1997. Was an MCS that kicked off at about 6pm and kept going strongly all night and then died at around 7am the next morning. Fantastic light show, it was too loud to sleep and we all stayed up all night watching it. Several houses nearby were hit. Shortest - A tie between Beijing (July 2006) and Thailand (November 1999). Both extremely potent yet short storms lasting around 2 minutes with torrential rain constant flashes and thunder and disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
  17. I swear we still had the odd rumble into late last night and we definitely saw a flash just around midnight in the distance. Nothing was showing on radar though. I will try and get my close strikes uploaded today if i can work out how to get it in the right format. Haven't heard thunder that loud in England for at least a decade.
  18. Is there anyway I can post a video on here directly from my laptop as YouTube doesn't want to let me upload it.
  19. Gahhhhhh, i want to post my video on YouTube but my video editing programme is broekn and I can't fix it
  20. Well El Gordo, you certainly were a tricky beast. You took us on a rollercoaster ride of esxcitement and anticipation, then we were on the edge of our seats, then crushing disappointment and then fnally surprise elation.
