  1. I've just had a look through the short-range charts.. a couple of troughs move in to the SW on Sunday, and creep across Southern counties. Modest CAPE levels being shown, steep lapse rates, and very cold ELT's - could be more scope for heavy showers containing hail, along with thunder & lightning on Sunday eve.
  2. I reckon it'll total more than that Karlos. 120.2 mm is my high on this station, back in January. I'm currently sat at 106.4mm. Strangely enough, sunshine is way above my average, and quite a bit above the MetOffice derived average that I calculate.
  3. I can tell you that it is categorically false. I follow that station myself, and I checked it yesterday morning - not long after we had the strong winds, it showed 97 km/h, not knots. Here's the graph:
  4. .. just a few frames from the NetWx model .. Obviously, the MetO have more models at their disposal, so I'd expect a couple of options.. 1: They might be awaiting more data, and add separate warnings. 2: They may have jumped the gun with the current ones. lol
  5. Just had another bout of activity, convective gusts close to 50mph.
  6. 47mph convective gust just a moment ago, not as brutal as earlier, but still good fun nonetheless! 13.6mm of rain so far. More tonight, and more tomorrow night. Some good charts for the weather so far..
  7. Hoping for a round two any moment now.. This morning was quite a violent event, lots of trees down around the area.
  8. It went absolutely berserk here! Thunder, lightning, hail, torrential rain.. wind went from nothing to gale force in a matter of seconds. A new wind speed record for my station too!
  9. Holy crapola!! Thunder, lightning, hail, gale force winds.. it's mayhem here!
  10. lol Just wet here. Been outside, the frosty shed roof is wet, but no sign of ice anywhere.
  11. 5:40am or pm? Edit: Just seen pm. Also, isn't that a 12/24hr forecast icon?
  12. Temp: -0.2 °C Dew: -0.8 °C Wetbulb: -0.4 °C All good, but I can confirm, it is raining here.
  13. I can't see anything other than rain falling here, despite a lot of factors that are checked. ^ Likely as to why the radar shows rain.
  14. Very unlikely. T850's will be +ve under the precip, and the 0 degree isotherm will be above 1000 metres by then too.
  15. That would be nice.. Certainly some heavy bursts of rain are likely, across our region.
  16. I didn't expect such a hard frost this morning, or a frost at all! The MetO had me down for 2°C yet it got down to -1.8°C at 08:26. Currently sunny. Temp: 5.1°C - Hum: 85% - Dew: 2.7°C - Bar: 1004.61hPa - Wind: W @ 4mph.
  17. I personally dislike the two setup's that brought others snow, they do absolutely nothing for here! It's an Easterly or go home, job.
