It got down to 1.4°C here this morning, no visible frost though. A nice, sunny day and temp maxed out at 13.3°C. -
Sunny start, the clouded over as the front slipped South - temp dropped rapidly too. Front passed, sun is back, temps back up again. 15.2°C A chilly one by dawn!

Much better today. Pure blue skies - lots of washing to hang out. Temp: 13.3°C - Hum: 81% - Dew: 10.1°C - Bar: 1034.88hPa - Wind: NE ~ NNE @ 4mph.

It did work very well in the end CC. Although I didn't leave the house for 7 weeks, partly because my chest was still quite bad and I also didn't want anyone else to be put through the ordeal that I had lol

I had flu on new years eve of 1999 - was absolutely gutted! I also had swine flu back in 2008 and was prescribed tamiflu. However, the first night I took it, I didn't go to sleep as I thought I was genuinely going to die. I've had a free flu jab every year since 2012. I haven't had the flu in that time, so i can't say that the jabs 100% help, but I do like to think so, especially as it's free.

Another grey, damp and miserable day! 15°C but feels a lot cooler than that. I noticed I broke a station record on the 24th. The daily temperature range was just 1.1°C. I normally break those records in Winter, if there's been a hard frost and then it stays cold and foggy all day.

What is going on with the temps? It was roasting earlier on! 20.2°C was managed.

It has to be the worst two days of the year so far, it is just damp, and about as dark & grey as it could possibly be.

A dreadful day to be fair, and on a Monday too! It was rather wet this morning, with 7.8mm falling. October is now becoming average in terms of rainfall, rather than well below. 65.6mm so far. Did manage to get to 15.7°C, but it has been so overcast and grey, it felt more like 7.7°C

Two all-time station records for me today, wind run and wind speed. Top gust of 46mph. It'll be quite a while before the wind run record will be beaten again.

New station record for moi. 10 minute average of 24mph. Not bad for here, considering the Purbeck hills create a bit of a shelter.

Just manged 46mph, and a 23mph wind speed during a shower.

Around 10mph knocked off the original forecast wind speeds. It was just as windy yesterday and the day before but no yellow warnings then.. Nothing really noteworthy in this region.

Gusting to 41mph here at the moment. Hopefully i'll be on for three station records today, wind run, wind speed and wind gust. Fingers crossed!

Winds tonight are intriguing. I had a 41mph gust earlier in the evening, and it has sounded like some beasts have come through since - hearing lots of things falling over. However, my anemometer isn't in sync with it, only just managing 30mph at the moment. It's as if the winds seem higher closer to the surface, rather than the 10m which my anemometer is situated at. I've seen this quite a few times in the past. Every wind storm has different characteristics!

It was forecast to be pretty windy slightly ahead of Brian. A small squeeze on the isobars, associated with a warm & cold front. The winds will ease slightly after midnight, before increasing again during the early hours of tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to something in the 50's. Although, my current record is 50mph on this station - back in February, I have to go back to 2014 to see similar longevity of wind speeds. Hopefully a new record tomorrow!

Personally, I don't think it matters too much at this stage. You're best bet is to look at the FAX charts.

It got pretty rough for a time last night, gusting to mid-thirties, 10 min average of 19mph. 23.8mm of rain in total yesterday, a further 2.4mm overnight. Nice to have the sun back for a bit, fresher too - washing out on the line. Temp: 13.1°C - Hum: 73% - Dew: 8.3°C - Bar: 1008.57hPa - Wind: W @ 11mph.
