  1. A few white echoes have appeared on the leading edge. That's my chance of a high gust record I reckon?
  2. LOL I know, right.. It's 15.5°C here at the moment, that's the same as the daytime max that I recorded on the 29th June.
  3. Missed all of the rain today (at the moment) temps are at their highest now, though. 15.5°C Wind gusting to 48mph.
  4. That's a shame. I keep getting regular gusts above 40mph, which isn't bad for here. But, sustained winds are always tough to get, 22mph is my highest tonight. If the wind speeds were as high this afternoon (which were forecast to be) I may have broken my wind run record. I'm hoping I may sneak a higher gust if any of that rain can make it this way.
  5. I managed a rogue gust of 43mph along with a wind speed of 21mph. The high gusts seem few and far between at the moment. Pressure down to 992.92 hPa
  6. It seems Mr Grimsley down in Devon isn't recording particularly high winds either. Bizarre to say the least.
  7. Just not happening here.. really odd. The MetO forecast says it should be gusting to 40mph, with a wind speed of 20mph. The reality is that it's barely making gusts of 25mph. Since having my anemometer up at 10m, I have always matched what the MetO have forecast, so it is unusual.
  8. 14°C and just a moderate breeze here. It seems i'm in a sheltered spot today - hoping things change later.
  9. Surprisingly poor here. I did have a 36mph gust this morning, but it's barely gusting to 25mph now. I always say that each wind event is different, but it seems as though we're being sheltered here. We'll have to see what occurs later in the day!
  10. It might well be.. but the MetO are forecasting the strongest gusts since February for my locale, and over quite a long period of time as well.
  11. I'm more interested in the strong winds and potential convective gusts tomorrow. I may head to Kimmeridge.
  12. The strongest winds since February are forecast for here, tomorrow. Yellow warning out etc.. but people are getting more excited about some sleet..
  13. Some sunny spells this morning, but mainly cloudy. Temp at 14.1°C Looking forward to a rough spell tomorrow. Pressure looks to be down in to the 980's for most of the region. re Fri & Sat - never interests me for my location. I have never had snow from these kinds of set-ups.
  14. Maybe some convective interest for parts of Southern England and Wales on Wednesday evening. A trough moves up from the SW steepening the lapse rates as it does so. The winds look pretty strong as it is, with a threat of some strong convective gusts associated with any thunder storms/showers that may develop.
  15. Hi Paul. I've done a renewal on my NW subscription, but I am still getting the payment page when I try to login.
  16. A low of 3.3°C this morning. Started off sunny, then clouded over, then back to blue skies again. Currently 11.4°C
  17. Something to keep an eye on for Wednesday in to Thursday. This feature has been modeled for the past couple of days. At the moment, you could make a shout from anywhere from Southern Ireland to the South coast in the path of gales or perhaps severe gales. GFS: ECMWF: FAX:
