Freezing rain too (according to NMM details)

The temperature seems to have bottomed out at 1.1°C. The forecast is for temps to rise before dawn, so the elusive sub-zero temperature is on hold. I've just looked back at some data, and I have recorded sub-zero temps every November, going back to 2010. Judging by the forecasts, It's possible that this will be the first November in 7 years that I don't make it.

Just looked at some various charts and it shows it dying out pretty quickly.

Down to 3.2°C here as well. Hoping for a sub-zero min by tomorrow morning. I'm well behind compared to last year!

I could count the drops of rain we had last night, on one hand. Overcast and 7.8°C at the moment.

Welcome back! For the Winter?

A grand total of 1.2 mm from yesterday's rain! Sunny but windy now, gusting to 30mph. Temp: 11.9°C As for tonight's limp attempt at producing wintry precip, I thought i'd put up some various hi-res charts.. Arpege: Icon: Hirlam: EWN: NetWx-SR: Euro4: Not to be taken at face value, of course. They all show slightly different timings and positions of how far North the precip is. The MetO forecast just shows a few hours of light rain/drizzle here, so either way, nothing particularly exciting.

I can't believe I missed all of that rainfall. Strange forces at work here, regarding precipitation.

I've just noticed the drop in temperature since that rain arrived.. 2°C in ten minutes.

Ah, some rain. It was a bit like someone chucked a bucket of water across the window, it was pretty much a start/stop affair.

A few white echoes have appeared on the leading edge. That's my chance of a high gust record I reckon?

LOL I know, right.. It's 15.5°C here at the moment, that's the same as the daytime max that I recorded on the 29th June.

Missed all of the rain today (at the moment) temps are at their highest now, though. 15.5°C Wind gusting to 48mph.

That's a shame. I keep getting regular gusts above 40mph, which isn't bad for here. But, sustained winds are always tough to get, 22mph is my highest tonight. If the wind speeds were as high this afternoon (which were forecast to be) I may have broken my wind run record. I'm hoping I may sneak a higher gust if any of that rain can make it this way.

Spring has arrived! 15.6°C

The winds are nowhere near as bad here as they were on the 21st October.

I managed a rogue gust of 43mph along with a wind speed of 21mph. The high gusts seem few and far between at the moment. Pressure down to 992.92 hPa

It seems Mr Grimsley down in Devon isn't recording particularly high winds either. Bizarre to say the least.

Just not happening here.. really odd. The MetO forecast says it should be gusting to 40mph, with a wind speed of 20mph. The reality is that it's barely making gusts of 25mph. Since having my anemometer up at 10m, I have always matched what the MetO have forecast, so it is unusual.

14°C and just a moderate breeze here. It seems i'm in a sheltered spot today - hoping things change later.
