  1. That was nothing compared to the red warning that Dorset was on in 09, only for it to be removed during the night. We were still under an Amber warning, and we barely got a dusting of snow here. That will go down in the history books as one of the biggest weather fails of all time!
  2. I can't be bothered to post it in the model thread, so i'll put it here instead.. That crazy LP the GFS is modelling is an interesting scenario - for a couple of reasons. Firstly (being a storm fan) I tend to want these to occur, but as you get nearer the time, the GFS will slow the rate of cyclogenesis down, and even move it further South, which means we tend to miss out on the fun. Now, if it did decide to do that, it would be more favourable for snow further South. With that in mind, what's the betting that the GFS decides to take a different route altogether - ie No interesting weather at all?!
  3. A slight ground frost this morning. Everything is hard though... I mean the ground etc A low of 1.3°C it pretty much hovered at 1.6 to 1.7°C for most of the night. Currently 2.6°C and sunny.
  4. As far as I understand it, Dan, it's part of Openstreetmap's dark tile theme, so it would be down to them to add something like that i'm afraid.
  5. Here's something to throw in to the mix.. I was watching this and decided that it stood a chance of making it.. 2nd February 2015: Woke up to this on the 3rd: Now: Unlikely this time around, but I wanted to give some false hope!
  6. Nice to have a graph looking like this.. Although, not as cold as it was this time last year. Top temp of 6.3°C here today.
  7. I was just doing some work in the garden, low and behold, there was the tiniest of snow flurries!
  8. Finally made it below zero!! -1.2 °C at 06:47 Not had perfectly blue skies again though, lots of cloud around. Temp: 5.7°C - Hum: 61% - Dew: -1.3°C - Bar: 1013.41hPa - Wind: NW ~ N @ 10mph.
  9. Word of the models must've got around to the local bird population around here. I spotted a lot of Robin's putting the berries back on the holly trees today.
  10. It stalled at 3.3 and went back down, but stalled at 2.8. Very disappointing minimum temperatures here to say the least!
  11. Right on cue, the temperature starts rising! I have to say, the MetO's forecast of the minimums has been very good for here, they normally underestimate it. It looks as thought this November is going to pass without a sub-zero minimum - first time in 7 years!
  12. huh? How so? Sunday's forecast mentioned it, and it has been said in every forecast since then. It's also shown in the models. What more evidence do you need? It amazes me, you coldies.. if things don't go your way, you have to take it out on anybody that even dares mention something that points to less cold.
  13. That's harsh calling them a troll?! Especially when they're correct. The forecast has shown for days that this this weekend is set to see less cold air spread across the country. 11°C Sun/Mon/Tues down these parts.
  14. A ground frost this morning, but still cannot manage an air frost. A low of 0.4°C Currently 6.1°C and sunny.
  15. They use Highcharts, so you can click the burger menu at the top right to download a PNG/JPEG and then upload it like a normal chart.
  16. An interesting data fact for my location .. I haven't gotten below 0.0 yet. I have managed to get at least one sub-zero night/morning every November, for the previous 7 years. Only two more days to keep that record going!
  17. According to the forecast, the wind is supposed to be gusting to 20mph. It's currently gusting to 0.
