  1. An interesting data fact for my location .. I haven't gotten below 0.0 yet. I have managed to get at least one sub-zero night/morning every November, for the previous 7 years. Only two more days to keep that record going!
  2. According to the forecast, the wind is supposed to be gusting to 20mph. It's currently gusting to 0.
  3. In Poole at the moment. Lovely and sunny, a little chilly but not significantly cold. 8.3°C showing up on my station at home.
  4. I would take a wild stab at poor isotherm heights / poor wet-bulb temps instead.. Even at 90 hours, it's a blind call.
  5. I should also point out that the WMR has a built in data-logger for that price, so you can use it with various weather software - perhaps to create your own webpage. The Davis doesn't come with one, which means you'd have to fork out another £100 to achieve the same as the WMR. Looking at this video, I don't think so..
  6. Tricky one that.. simply because, the WMR300 has zero support from Oregon, whereas the Davis, you'll have full support. The downside to the Vue is that all sensors are within a single array, so unless you have a massive wide open space, you'll have to sacrifice wind speeds for better temperature values, or poorer temperature values for better wind speeds. I'd still opt for the Vue though.
  7. Hi Daniel Did you mean the dam thickness? As you'd usually look at the 0°C isotherm heights (in the short term)
  8. I was just musing my data and noticed that this November is likely to have above average sunshine for my location. The next few days should bump the final total up higher than last November - that was above average too. 2017: 2016: Met Office derived average is 81 hours. My average is 85.9 hours.
  9. Maxed at 12°C here. Winds were gusting to 38mph this morning - not much rain. Currently 9.8°C and cloudy. Looks to be sunny for the rest of the week, but windy. Nothing wintry in the offing for here, just typical late-Autumn fare.
  10. Well.. you continue with your pig latin-posts. If you find that they start going missing in the model discussion thread, then you'll know why.
  11. It would be a whole lost easier if you explained properly, what is showing on the charts that you post. How on earth do you expect people to understand "Then you have little charlie large spuds-around-icelandic' rims" ? I tried to Google it, but my parental settings on my router flagged up some suspect material.
  12. I thought it was a quote from the domestos advert :O
  13. That's all from a single page. That maybe so, but does it stop you from typing in ridiculous riddles? None of it makes sense, even to those who's first language is English.
  14. Right click and save the image to your machine and then upload it (if you're on a pc/laptop) If you're using a mobile device, long press the image and then save it to your device, and then upload it.
  15. No frost here, a low of 1.4°C Started off sunny, now it has clouded over. A very uninspiring week of weather down here, that's why I don't particularly like Northerlies.
  16. I remember that very well! When I came downstairs that morning, I was greeted with a 2ft snow drift that had forced it's way through the back door. That was unfortunately the last great snowfall event here.
  17. A shower was extremely close here. I was willing it away! I have just done a load of concreting, so rain or hail was the last thing I needed. Thankfully it looks much quieter on the radar. Max temp of 8.8°C
  18. Still not managed to get down below zero. Forecasts show it not to make it below zero for the rest of the month.
  19. https://www.torchdirect.co.uk/olight-torches/olight-x7r-marauder-rechargeable-led-torch.html Up until a couple of months ago, it was the brightest production flashlight in the world. It's a flooder rather than a thrower, but it still throws 380m with an incredible wall of light.
  20. I have a new flashlight to use this Winter, IF we ever have a chance of seeing some flakes.
