  1. Forecast yesterday said outbreaks of rain through the night, then heavy in the morning until around lunchtime. No rain here, and it's not raining now, despite the forecast being changed to heavy rain through until 10pm.
  2. Here we are again.. people still using the 'screenshot' function on their phones to post a tiny picture of a chart, with no dates or timestamps. Come on folks, it's just as easy, if not easier to save the image you're looking at on your phone rather than doing a screenshot.
  3. I don't think the Vue has a seal around the battery cover. if you take a look at this un-boxing: https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=9146.0 you'll see that the owner put some duct tape over it.
  4. Both of my stations got down to exactly 0.0°C at 7:24am - unusual, as they are in different places. Lovely and sunny, temp peaked at 13.1°C - currently 12.6°C
  5. In Poole at the moment, getting the Barnet cut and arguing over whether to go for a KFC or not?! Foggy until 11am back home. Nice and sunny here.
  6. I haven't had time to do my statistics for a while, so i'll do it now while I have some.. October was quite a dull month and had 20 rain days. Most of them came from the middle of the month and making a 10 days wet streak. No frosts, but the minimum temperature I recorded was lower than last years. Temperature: High: 20.2 °C - [25th October] Low: 1.4 °C - [30th October] Lowest Max: 13.3 °C - [30th October] Highest Min: 14.7 °C - [24th October] Mean Max: - 16.6 °C Mean Min: - 9.6 °C Average: 13.2 °C MetO Derived Average: 11.8 °C Station Average: 12.2 °C Humidity: High: 99 % - [19th October] Low: 51 % - [6th October] Pressure: High: 1035.7 hPa - [27th October] Low: 996.7 hPa - [19th October] Wind: Max Gust: 46 mph - [21st October] Max Speed (10 min avg): 24 mph - [21st October] Avg Speed: 5.8 mph High Wind Run: 393 miles - [21st october] Dominant Dir: West Southwest Rainfall: Total: 66.8 mm MetO Derived Avg: 103.3 mm Station Average: 55.7 mm Max Rain Rate: 90 mm/hr - [19th October] Max Hourly Rain: 5.6 mm - [19th October] Max Daily Rain: 23.8 mm - [19th october] Solar Radiation and Sunshine Data: Max Daily High Solar: 780 Wm⁻² - [2nd October] Min Daily High Solar: 118 Wm⁻² - [24th October] Max Sunshine: 8.3 hrs - [6th October] Min Sunshine: 0 hrs - [6 days] Total Sunshine: 83 hrs MetO Derived Avg: 117.4 hrs Station Average: 93.2 hrs
  7. I suspect it's a problem WU's end. I have lost count of the problems I have had with them, every month there's an issue, whether it's the webcams or the station data. I just leave it now, i cannot be bothered to even investigate or solve the problem. Eventually it rectifies itself until the next time. As for getting a reply from WU, you have no hope. There's one person that deals with all inquiries by email, and they have backlogs of tens of thousands of questions/complaints. It wouldn't surprise me if WU will eventually stop all data being uploaded to their site - they have been slowly removing things over the past year. IBM who now own WU don't give two pips about end users. I don't know if it includes all countries, but I do know that they sell users data in the US. You're better off making your own site to view your data rather than relying on a third party site. The other alternative is to send your data to Weathercloud, it's far more stable.
  8. Overcast and cold until an hour ago. Now, sunshine & cirrus.Temp: 13.8 °C
  9. Not a bad day, hazy sunshine, but temps got up to 16.1 °C at 13:10 Love the smell of the air at the moment. Chimney pots venting vertical smoke, really nice. Currently 8.6 °C
  10. Temp got down to 2.7°C just after midnight, before it started rising again. Some sunshine this morning, generally cloudy now, but bright. Temp 14.2°C That is below the MetO average. I'm at 66.8mm. I decided to derive the MetO averages of Bournemouth and Swanage for rainfall/temps/sunshine (as I sit between them) so i could get an average of the two to pit my data against it - which works well. That MetO average is 103.3mm, so i'm well below.
  11. Did you make this thread while on the phone to the speaking clock? lol Another chilly one here, currently 2.8°C
  12. It got down to 1.4°C here this morning, no visible frost though. A nice, sunny day and temp maxed out at 13.3°C.
  13. Sunny start, the clouded over as the front slipped South - temp dropped rapidly too. Front passed, sun is back, temps back up again. 15.2°C A chilly one by dawn!
  14. Has the Netweather banner disappeared?
  15. Much better today. Pure blue skies - lots of washing to hang out. Temp: 13.3°C - Hum: 81% - Dew: 10.1°C - Bar: 1034.88hPa - Wind: NE ~ NNE @ 4mph.
  16. It did work very well in the end CC. Although I didn't leave the house for 7 weeks, partly because my chest was still quite bad and I also didn't want anyone else to be put through the ordeal that I had lol
  17. I had flu on new years eve of 1999 - was absolutely gutted! I also had swine flu back in 2008 and was prescribed tamiflu. However, the first night I took it, I didn't go to sleep as I thought I was genuinely going to die. I've had a free flu jab every year since 2012. I haven't had the flu in that time, so i can't say that the jabs 100% help, but I do like to think so, especially as it's free.
  18. Another grey, damp and miserable day! 15°C but feels a lot cooler than that. I noticed I broke a station record on the 24th. The daily temperature range was just 1.1°C. I normally break those records in Winter, if there's been a hard frost and then it stays cold and foggy all day.
  19. What is going on with the temps? It was roasting earlier on! 20.2°C was managed.
  20. It has to be the worst two days of the year so far, it is just damp, and about as dark & grey as it could possibly be.
