  1. Ah, sorry. It is simply positive and negative intra cloud lightning. They give off different frequencies, like +/- CG but I don't know how you would distinguish +/- intra cloud lightning from sight alone. You can certainly tell a +/- CG from sight and sound, though.
  2. Let me know how he gets on. I'll be down there several times through the Summer, for both mackereling and bigger.
  3. I certainly was! They were good days. Sadly, smaller weather forums are difficult to sustain when there are big ones. It's just nice to be on one when there's a hive of activity, so we can share our experiences/videos/pictures etc. I've been looking for some independent stations under those echo's in Northern France. I wanted to see if any rain totals were being recorded, or whether its properly elevated. It's a bit sparse for stations in that area, unfortunately. The colour chart shows them to be at the top of the scale on NetWx radar - 250 mm/h
  4. I was thinking the same thing! There could be some fresh 'Hinckley Hail' videos on YouTube tomorrow.
  5. Not to be taken literally, of course. But it doesn't look like grazing East Kent to me?
  6. Finally.. just tipped over the 24°C mark, with 24.2°C I think it would have been a lot higher if it wasn't for the wind today. it's been gusting to 25mph.
  7. Yap - I agree. I won't get too excited yet though, but still a nice prospect after this wonderful spell of weather.
  8. I remember when you sent me a picture of yourself with it..
  9. A low of 13.7°C - same as Db, warmed rapidly, but also blowing a hoolie again. Temp: 22°C - Hum: 61% - Dew: 14°C - Bar: 1016.86hPa - Wind: ESE @ 10 mph.
  10. Too busy to post screen grabs and info, but the MetO have issued numerous warnings. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings
  11. The mobile skin should have a 'choose files' link, just below the edit box you type a post in. Clicking it will open up (usually) a file browser, then you just navigate to the picture on your phone, and click it. It should upload and show a thumbnail, to which you add it to the edit box, just as it does on a desktop browser.
  12. Well, CAPE levels increase through the Midlands and in to Eastern parts of the UK - some tasty ingredients! However, i'd take a stab at capping being a problem in these areas. All to play for due to a lot of uncertainties. I wish w09 would make an appearance, very knowledgeable member when it comes to storms.
  13. .. just a few useless charts to be getting on with.. AROME: ARPEGE: DWD ICON: WRF: NETWX: Saturday afternoon looks like a whole different ball game.
  14. TT's for Sat morning/afternoon: Scattered would be the word to use at the moment.
  15. It feels like the middle of Summer at the moment. It's still 15.9°C - sat here in just shorts, with the windows wide open. lol Interesting to note @matt111 my average temperature today, was just 0.3°C below your maximum temperature.
  16. A cloudy start, then some good sunshine. Maxed at 23.1°C Temp: 22.4°C - Hum: 63% - Dew: 15°C - Bar: 1024.99hPa - Wind: SW @ 4mph.
