  1. Yeah - I could see the white cloud top lit up by the moon. Maybe 5" of snow might blow this way?
  2. https://mendipweather.co.uk/rain-gauges/oregon-scientific-pcr800-rain-guage-for-wmr-series?language=en&currency=GBP&gclid=COGairHtvdECFe4Q0wodlroLBw I bought a Vantage Vue console from them at a ridiculously good price.
  3. In Cumulus MX.. If you're using that, you shouldn't have the standard Cumulus open at the same time.
  4. It might be an issue with Wunderground, being a new station. I presume all of your settings are ok in the Wunderground part of Cumulus? You can try shutting it down and restarting it. The correct way is to do CTRL +C while the app window is in focus. Don't forget to run as administrator when you start it again.
  5. It looks as though it has only sent one reading, at 10:45pm Does your laptop go to sleep? Cumulus doesn't like the sleep function, i've got all that turned off on my system, just the screensaver enabled.
  6. I've just been outside for a smoke, and walked up the garden a bit, so I could see further West. There's a thin veil of cloud, so thin in fact, you can see stars through it! It looks as though there's some virga fallstreak coming from it, so I guess that was the culprit?!
  7. I kid you not, there has been the tiniest snow shower here and yet the skies look clear. There's tiny little specs all over the shed roof and the flower bed. I shone my torch up and you can see it falling.
  8. Update on conditions here: A very bright moon, almost nice flying conditions for a quad copter.. Temp: 1.5°C - Hum: 85% - Dew: -0.7°C - Wchill: -1.4°C - Rain: 27.4mm - Bar: 1003.08hPa - Wind: WNW @ 6mph.
  9. A quick couple of things to point out if you're definitely going to use Wunderground: Enable that in your Wunderground settings. Enable the check box I've circled in the Cumulus settings The green circle I have checked is one that caused me a headache to begin with. For some unknown reason, Wundergrounds PWS system has an awkward way of sending wind data, and it causes an issue with rapidfire. Basically, rapidfire will show you the wind speed and direction in intervals of whatever you set Cumulus to send it at, ie 5 seconds. However, what tends to happen, is that the graphs on the Wunderground page will miss your high gusts, and make the wind speed and wind gust lines the same. I checked the setting to send 'average wind speed for the current speed' so that doesn't happen, the wind gusts and averages look correct on the graph, but by doing that, the wind rose/speed on Wunderground will only update every 5 or 10 minutes It's down to your preference how you want it to work. It took me ages to work out why Wunderground stopped showing the wind updates every 5 seconds or so, so I manually went through each setting in Cumulus to try and work out what was going on lol.
  10. Sweet! For a moment, I thought I fuxed up lol You can now head to http://127.0.0.1:8998/internetsettings.html and enter your Wunderground details - don't forget to have a look through everything, and leave no stoned unturned.
  11. Head to: http://127.0.0.1:8998/stationsettings.html I can't remember the exact settings you'll need to set, but just have a play about and keep changing things until your dashboard starts showing some data.
  12. No need to install anything, just copy the folder CumulusMX to C:\ Inside, you will see an application file called CumulusMX - right click it, and run as administrator. If successful, you should be able to put this in your browser: http://127.0.0.1:8998/index.html - that should take you to the web socket, where all your info and settings are. If you get stuck, gimme a shout.
  13. Yeah - you need to sign up to the forum to see the link, you don't need to post or anything. When you have, the link is at the bottom of the first post: http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12908
  14. It might seem a silly question, but have you set up the Wunderground side of things in Cumulus, and enabled it? I only see one station in Lychett, and that's a Davis. It might be better to use Cumulus MX, as the older one isn't supported anymore.
  15. I can't remember if I read it this morning or I dreamt it, but did you get Cumulus working? I presume that would be the old Cumulus and not the latest Cumulus MX?
  16. A lot of folk in the SE thread reporting that their lights have been flickering. The same has been happening here! A couple of other things that strike me too, the winds have been nowhere near what was forecast, even now, they are forecast to be gusting to 37mph, only stretching to 11 or 12mph in reality. The temperature isn't as cold as expected either - its been rising over the last hour.
  17. Even more odd, the lights are flickering right the way over here, too. I just thought i'd drop that in!
  18. More sleety splats going on now. 34mph gusts producing a windchill of -3.1°C 27mm of rain has fallen, quite a lot of flooding in Swanage.
  19. The heavy precip we had, was pulling the colder upper air down with it. Now that it has moved on, temperatures beginning to move back to where they should be.
  20. lol - still rising here, up to 3.4°C Still no strong winds yet, either.
  21. Interesting, after hitting 2.8 °C, the temperature is starting to rise again - 3.1 °C
