  1. I should've sent my quad up in the air early this morning - completely forgot! That would've made a nice aerial picture. Maybe in 8 or 9 days time?
  2. Just nipped out for a smoke, and there is cloud moving in now.
  3. It looks like it may dip below freezing here tonight/just after midnight, before the cloud encroaches - that'll make 16 frost days so far.
  4. Very frosty this morning, a low of -3.4°C Temp: -2.1°C - Hum: 97% - Dew: -2.5°C - Bar: 1034.91hPa - Wind: Calm.
  5. Finally just dropped below zero here..
  6. That LP on the 18Z would be very troublesome! It falls around a Spring tide, and when you think that parts of the East coast were under flood warnings today - coming up to a neap tide, it would be much worse than that.
  7. Temperature is struggling to fall here - completely cloudy.
  8. Currently at 3.7°C here. Region average is 4.5°C
  9. Only one month to fill, to complete my heatmap for one year - its gone so fast!
  10. The wind got up out of the blue last night - registered a 27mph gust. A low of 1.8°C this morning, mostly cloudy today, and feeling cold because of it. Temp: 7.7°C - Hum: 86% - Dew: 5.4°C - Bar: 1026.85hPa - Wind: W @ 5mph. The MetO are going for -3°C here by the morning, quite possible I may get close to my -4.7°C record in December. GFS and NetWx SR respectively:
  11. I bought the black version of this: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_424346.html For the money, you'll be hard pushed to find one with GPS on both the transmitter and quad for 'follow me' mode, and for flying home and landing by itself. Yeah, i've had a good read up on many sites about quad flying - it is still a grey area regarding actual rules though. I think common sense prevails to be honest. I used GPS mode when I took those pics, at a height of about 25m, it's safer in that mode, and it will return to the place you took off from if anything goes wrong. I'll only be going higher and further out when I head to some numerous open spots around here - Old Harry Rock being one of them. There are some people on YouTube who have managed to fly the same quad at a distance of 2km, and also got it to go 1.2km up, a bit excessive for my liking, and out of range of your own sight. It would be good to add some kind of lightweight sensor array to it, and measure temp/humidty as you ascend.
  12. A couple of pics I took from my quad earlier. Facing SW - Purbeck hills/Corfe Castle Facing ENE-ish - Showing how close Poole Harbour is from me.
  13. I'm not sure whether it'd be January or February 2014 for me - the storms that were battering the coastline were quite a spectacle! I spent more time at the beaches down here during that period, than I do in Summer.
  14. My bad - My glass eyes decided to skip past Tg lol
  15. December 2016 turned out to be the dampest in 5 years. Sunshine was pretty much average, probably slightly above due to positioning of my sensor. I also managed 6 air frosts too, which isn't too shabby for my location. 16. A low of -2.8°C here, quite a way off from the lows of November 30th and December 1st. It was probably the hardest frost of Winter though, my pond fully iced over for the first time. Temp: 4.4°C - Hum: 87% - Dew: 2.5°C - Bar: 1030.86hPa - Wind: WSW ~ N @ 3mph. Were you looking at dew points knocks? This is what shows up for me..
  17. My frost season is 59 days in (started November 3rd) and i've managed 12 air frosts in that time - that's actually pretty darnn good for this location.
  18. That's good news, the WMR88 works with Cumulus - it should work with the latest Cumulus MX software. CMX opens up through command prompt, and then it opens via a websocket in your browser - very easy to use, and sits quietly on your desktop. CMX will allow you to send data to the MetO's WoW site, Wunderground, PWS, Awekas, Weathercloud etc.. http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/view?siteID=839814 https://app.weathercloud.net/d0156999522#profile http://www.awekas.at/en/instrument.php?id=7934 http://www.pwsweather.com/obs/WAREHAM.html ..and if you get cheap hosting, you can use CMX's inbuilt template to create a website for your data. CMX runs on Windows/Macs, different PI's - it's very versatile.
  19. What station do you have? Are you using software to get your data to Wunderground? If you can connect the station to a computer, you have many options!
  20. Wunderground are at the center of major problems at the moment, and seem to be doing nothing about it. It maybe a few hours, or it may be 24 hours or more. There's no graph data before September 29th showing for anybody - years worth of data has vanished! The view count has stopped working too, it's been going on for months, and no one gets replies from the support either, when sending emails.
