My favourite hue is on the horizon again.

The forecasts have been well off the mark in terms of low temperatures for here, over the last few mornings. It got down to -2.6°C this morning, only got above zero at 10am - a proper hard frost. That's three air frosts in a row now, taking the tally to ten this side of the new year - more than the last 5 years. Temp: 6.2°C - Hum: 92% - Dew: 4.9°C - Bar: 1036.17hPa - Wind: Calm.

A hard frost again this morning, despite only managing -0.1°C So many times now, we've had thick fog and no warning.. today a warning was out, and no fog. Temp: 9.8°C - Hum: 81% - Dew: 6.7°C - Bar: 1040.26hPa - Wind: SE ~ ESE @ 6mph.

It got down to -2.1°C this morning, only got above zero around 10am - a very hard frost! I also got very close to my all-time high pressure record of 1045.90hPa - 1044.84hPa recorded this morning. Temp: 3°C - Hum: 94% - Dew: 2.1°C - Bar: 1044.53hPa - Wind: Calm.

Yesterday was the windiest day of the year, here. As soon as the drizzly front moved over, the temp took a sharp fall. Started off nice and sunny, but cloud has moved in - still bright though. Temp: 8.6°C - Hum: 69% - Dew: 3.2°C - Bar: 1035.46hPa - Wind: WNW @ 6mph.

Don't change it until the beginning of the new year, it will mess up all of your data. I took this advice myself, as I wanted to change mine. I'm going to do the same. The reason I am going to change mine is that high minimums during the Summer get skewed if the temp drops below the recorded figure sometime before midnight. I missed out on several records due to that happening.

SS posted it at 12:03, while the website shows that it was updated at 12:01 Probably a caching issue with your browser. A simple CTRL +F5 can download changed content by bypassing your cache, but it depends on the browser you're using, or what cache-control the website uses.

Good morning and merry xmas from a drizzly micro climate! It was windy last night, gusting to 30mph, looks that way tonight too. Temp: 12.3°C - Hum: 95% - Dew: 11.5°C - Bar: 1025.87hPa - Wind: WSW @ 11mph.

Christmas eve weather here hasn't been too bad, although it has been breezy. Temp maxed out at 10.8°C Currently.. Temp: 10.1°C - Hum: 83% - Dew: 7.3°C - Bar: 1028.31hPa - Wind: WSW @ 11mph.

Well that's a turn up for the books.. despite the mild temperatures, I have a bit of snow falling.. Merry Christmas SW & CS folks!

I've had 42mph down here, which isn't too shabby considering Portland has had 45mph. Although, the wind speed at Portland is 32mph, whereas mine is 20mph.

.. just registered a 42mph gust, not bad for here! It certainly makes all the difference having the anemometer 10m up on the chimney.

A low of 4°C this morning. Fairly bright now, with the odd glimpse of the sun - windy, gusting to 30mph. Temp: 11.3°C - Hum: 89% - Dew: 9.6°C - Bar: 1027.36hPa - Wind: SW @ 15mph.

Rain last night, then fog, then a ground frost - had it all. Nice and sunny at the moment though, but damp, again, after a low of 0.8°C Temp: 8.6°C - Hum: 99% - Dew: 8.5°C - Bar: 1028.45hPa - Wind: WSW @ 2mph. I have just been looking back at my stats for December, and so far, it has been the dampest December I have recorded in 6 years - an average of 93.93% Drying washing has been a nightmare, so I expect the electricity usage has been greater due to the tumble dryer being used more often than normal. That's today's strange stat-of-the-day!

I think a fog warning should have been issued by the looks of it?! As soon as that rain cleared, the stars were out and the temp rapidly dropped. There's major fog now!

The back edge of that rain developed out of nowhere! Some quite big drops of rain at the moment - 7.2mm has fallen.
