I'm in two minds tbh, NE didn't do it for me, E'ly seems to be pushing everything slightly south. Would an ESE'ly be better? -
Showers still making it as far as Norwich but tending to lose their intensity once they come inland by 20 miles or so. Further south they look to be heavier and sustaining quite nicely over the Suffolk coast.

Very light snow, couple of inches now. Will be interesting to see how this area fares by morning!

One of my friends boasting about 6in in N Essex , however I think and inch in 30 mins earlier here was pretty impressive....

Moderate snow shower giving a covering as surfaces have dried out since the afternoon. Quite dark too!

Extend that box NE and you have the rectangle of shame! The Cromer ridge might not be that high but it can really affect things. I think we have some local topography that certainly affects summer storm flow and is now doing the same as showers tend to diverge away despite looking like head on certainties.

Sunny here since about midday, snow depth is, er, non existent......

Pattern as yesterday, brief showers lasting no more than 10 mins then about an hour's sunshine. Very pleasant in the sun - roll on summer eh?

Very little in mid Norfolk, mostly sunny with the occasional snowflake pottering about. Grass still visible....

Early morning showers now ceased, sun's out, let the melting begin.....

Haha. Maybe I'm impervious to it. Mind you last night I didn't end up sleeping on top of the (summer) duvet so it might have been a little chilly

Thing is, it's not particularly cold this morning, definitely not as cold as yesterday and there is zero wind compared with yesterday as well.

Oh dear me, BBC forecast emphasising snow in the N and NE, virtually nothing for the E and SE today or tomorrow. Thanks for that. Cancelled trains and schools closures rampant in the south for no reason at all. No wonder social media is tearing the Beeb and the MetO to shreds over this.

I'm convinced the problem lies in the current habit of measuring everything in cms. Now if we just went back to good old inches we'd currently be wading through the stuff

Morning East Angulars Well, this is a shock - I have what I would call very businesslike snow, the skies are leaden and it's FALLING STRAIGHT DOWN! There's not a breath of wind out there and tbh not particularly cold compared with yesterday. Did I miss some major sea change overnight???

Only in the east could the predicted totals of 10-20cm morph into 0.1 - 0.2cm in such a short space of time

What did he say? Fed up with Norfolk being some sort of cultural weather desert. We just can't seem to get decent snow no matter what the set up. Even when it doesn't get much better than this

Yep, does seem that the areas originally predicted not to have much in the way of snow are now going to get what we should have had. They started pinching our storms and now this.
