  1. MCS - translated for Norfolk means Messy Claggy S**** We'll be left with the overnight dregs, leaving a cloudy, grey 'orrible day on Wednesday....
  2. Oddly enough we didn't get much in the way of a show here, it all passed to the south. Two weeks later it was a different story
  3. Oops, told my sister she was in line for some heavy rain nr Haslemere and she reported one or two spits and spots.....
  4. A lovely day completely spoilt by a strong onshore breeze. Out of the sun it was positively chilly at times, I think the thermometer read a stunning 22.5C at one point....
  5. Still got me at 0% today and Wednesday, but 12% on Thurs, maybe I should take that and call myself lucky
  6. Apparently there's a higher risk for Norwich on Friday Still 0% for today into tomorrow
  7. Thank goodness for that Of course that would happen when the risk for the east is rather minimal!
  8. Well. I'm at 0% risk for Monday -Thurs......fairly typical really. Means a drive somewhere just to see a flash of lightning at night yet again....
  9. I'm still a flapper on occasion (plus internet on the move in Norfolk is like "really???" so I rely on phone comms with home - if Sir is awake anyway!). On the plus side I have a Vito so there's the added bonus of being able to rig a tripod inside plus a folding chair (see pic!) . I have some good park up places (all hard standing because we all know what the off road capabilities of an automatic van are like...)
  10. Very heavy shower just now, quite an intense core to it which changed colour just as it arrived!
  11. Hmmm, possible thunder, the Australian Shepherd detector is currently in meltdown!
  12. Hmm, that might have been thunder - the Australian Shepherd storm detector has gone into meltdown
  13. You must be in a different time zone Dark here too, but just normal cloudy cloud dark!
  14. Sitting in the garden looking at the dark skies out to the east. And north (that'll be Swaffham), South and west - zero. Zilch. Nada.
  15. Certainly looks like the "heavy thundery showers in the SE and E" should be translated as "a very small coastal strip of Norfolk/Suffolk"
  16. Indeed yes - wonder if that's where it's all going to be this afternoon - coastal only?
  17. Definitely agree - May used to be the "kick-off" month here (even mid April on occasion). Now it's more likely to be late June, with July offering slightly above average results over the past few years. Historically August has been the peak month for many differing reasons - thunder days, drier than the rest of the UK, or indeed wetter than average!
  18. Frankfurt is looking nice! http://www.citycams.tv/en/germany/frankfurt-am-main/
  19. Not a bad day really, mostly cloudy but very warm, looked vaguely threatening mid afternoon and a few random drops of rain materialised briefly. Another cool breeze this evening dropped the temps a fair bit, but that's gone and it's like velvet out there now
  20. A rather cool and cloudy start but the sun is now making a welcome appearance, I loathe summer days which remind me of February!
